Double Tap Sol Q?

TheHobbits··1 votes·357 views

What is AurelionSol could double tap Q to detonate on top of him? How would this change his balance? Would it be too strong? Would he then become the dominating force of mid?

It would be the best QoL change for him.

Champions are supposed to have weaknesses and Aurelion Sol should keep this one.

But his W cancels with any form of cc and his E is not allowed to be cast when taking dmg. You cant do anything other than save flash.

or ult

and despite his weaknesses he is still strong

People getting past his perimetre to beat up his face is meant to be his counterplay.

He could when he was released, it was deemed too reliable to defend him against Divers/Assassins that try to jump him when this is supposed to be his weakness.

Well since all the diver and assassins can now ignore his ult knockback with movement skills i feel this should be readded

Totally agree. Legit have to sit in the back and poop myself if anyone walks towards me.

What? Absolutely nothing changed regarding movement skills since Sol release. What are you talking about?

Also, maybe it's not specifically you, but why the downvotes? I'm not defending my opinion, I'm just presenting old facts for those that may be unaware of it. There is nothing subjective to up- or down-vote in my post...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAd73WGQnRI Literally no possible way I could defend myself

That always worked like that, so it's incorrect to say "since all the diver and assassins can now ignore his ult ... this should be this should be added back".

They always could ignore it the same way, the circumstances haven't changed since it was removed, so it's not an argument to add it back.

You could argue about something else, like the meta changed, or Sol needs a buff, or whatever. But you can't say "now they can ignore his ult" when they always could. See my point?

P.S.: in this case, I think you timed your R a split-second too early and Fizz was still untargettable, but I may be wrong. But the general principles is that if you are already in a move block, a new move block cancels it. So for instance, if you R on a LeBlanc when she is in the middle of dashing onto you, it should cancel it.

no, i didnt i timed it perfectly...notice how the slow particles are on fizz, and the ability to ignore sols ult with movement skills needs to be removed entirely, its like losing to the xerath hack

The minimum time before being able to detonate Q has never been changed since his release.

Maybe it was still during PBE testing and before official release, then, but I'm sure that in the beginning, Sol could double tap Q.

Quepha1 votes

I don't see any reference to changes on the PBE from surrender@20 posts, I'm pretty sure you are mistaken.

Regardless, the fact that he had the delay on release shows that in his release state which was incredibly powerful he still had this intended weakness.

Weaknesses are good for champs when they don't prevent the champ from ever being good.

Sol unable to DoubleTap is intended clunkynes used as balance tool AKA terrible gamedesign. Sadly it's necessary due to Aurelions power. (which is another proof of terrible gamedesign....) As much as I loved Sol at first, he can be so damn annoying to play AND to play against.

Really looking forward to the rework. Maybe I can play him once more without feeling like shit the one way or another.
