What's with the match making?

Just vs'd a match against 5 Gold IV / V players while our team consisted of 2 Gold IV / V players and 3 Silver I (me) / II.

I'm 7 games under .500

I'm not trying to say that I should be ranked higher, because I'm just about where I think I should be. Hit Gold eventually every season, but takes a while since I'm a casual player and often take a month off before I play again.

But I remember, I wasn't able to get into Gold unless I was above .500, so why aren't I playing players more my level?
