How is Fiora supposed to counter Darius?

I used to main top in season 4 and knew Darius top was kinda broken in lane, I just started playing again and laned against one. Holy crap is he even more broken than before. I'm not sure why rito decided to buff him, but anyway.

How are you supposed to beat him when his Q does like half your health bar at level 1 and heals him, and he can slow you by like 80% for an eternity and he can pull you. Like, what is the counter? I ask this because in my matchup, I played the vital game perfectly and would proc them all, but I could never chunk more than half his health in a duel because he could just Q+auto+ult to instakill me.

Any tips?

(apart from banning Darius ever game)

First of all you're playing fiora and you're making Darius sound OP.

He's one of the only champions that can beat you in pure melee. Accept that. That's why in teamfights you get infinite dashes and self peel and uncounterable damage while he's getting chain CCed and unable to move for ten years.

If you want to beat him you just need to time your riposte with his Q. That's it. But a good darius is unbeatable in lane if you're playing any sort of melee champ.

if u q inside darius's he should do no dmg to u and wont heal for anything. fiora w is one of the only counter of darius's ult.

Use your dash to avoid the blade of his telegraphed Q to reduce his damage, prevent a stack of his passive from being applied, and prevent his heal. You can either dash out to escape or dash in to fight; both are options depending on the current situation.

Darius' E applies CC so you can stun Darius if you parry either of them during early trades.

Darius' ultimate is highly telegraphed which allows you to easily parry it.

Darius is a juggernaut and typically stacks health and resistance while Fiora does percent maximum health true damage.

Also, the Darius you just played against had Ignite rather than Teleport. You should have tried to avoid early fights until you could back and get an item advantage.

Engage him after he Qs minions, don't all in just keep him poked down. Focus on your cs, once you have your fist item half built. Again poke down then only all in if you've poked him. When his Q comes off CD since you only engaged after he wasted it, then block it.
