Support role isn't a "get out of jail free" card. You didn't want the role in the first place probably, so why let you back in when you might not take the role seriously?

More supports is good, using the role as a escape goat is a wtf moment.

its not an escape goat, its a deal. YOu only get to play half a game of league, but therefore, you dont have to wait.

Its not a deal, your making the role into a bargaining chip and lessening its importance.

This seems more about you then helping the role or coming up with a reasonable penalty for wasting peoples time.

Oh please, noone really wants to play support, unless you have a "I want IP, but I dont feel like playing seriously" day. Support players have the least impact on the game and are the weakest link in the game. After all, the support exists for only one reason: There are 5 players, but only 4 lanes of income.
