Botted accounts contributes to bad rank experience.
Was in a game where mf ragequit at level 2 because Morg missed her snare. Neither of them died. Just a missed skill shot. Before she left she said "im quitting, going to go on another account"
It doesn't matter if she gets punished or not. It cost $6-8 to buy an botted account and it takes one account can ruin multiple games before action is taken. She can easily buy another account swap between them or have bots play the game while she's on leave buster penalty. An easier way to reduce the amount of botted/trolling alts is to increase the level required to play ranked. Back in 2009 when the champion pool was roughly 110 champs and there was a lot of new players, having a level 30 requirement for rank is reasonable. But now in 2020, skill creep would mean the people with the same mmr will be much more skilled than the ones in 2008-2009, so new players with 1200 MR would have a harder time in ranked. By increasing level required to enter rank, new players are allowed more time to gain game experience, build up a champion roster, forcing botters to spend more time leveling accounts which reduces the number of botted accounts as account being botted to level 100 will most likely have more reports on them than accounts botted to level 30.
Riot should focus on taking actions on botters as they don't gain money from account sales. Third party botters do.
