Question about Bond of Stone

So the summary of it (based on my interpretation) is:

4% damage reduction. Doubled to 8% when near ally, and 8% of damage taken by ally absorbed by you instead.

Does that mean an ally takes 8% less damage, you take that 8% damage but it's negated by the now double reduction making it free blocking for an ally? Or is it 8% reduction of the 8% damage transferred to you, or is it not negated at all (i.e. you take the full 8% for the ally).

I believe that the 8% of the damage you would take is actually reduced by 8%. It is hard to tell because how your allies resistances play into the overall damage reduction. Lots of multipliers on top of multipliers.

So it definitely does not negate the damage. For instance, the ally takes 1000 dmg, 80 of that will be given to you instead. I am inclined to believe that 8% of that 80 will be reduced as well. I am not sure how your natural resistances from armor MR play into that if at all. I would believe that they do not.

Other than that double bonds of stone is a powerful combo.
