Crit Damage Runes on Jhin

Had 195% at the start of the game, got to 245% with item 3031.

His ult benefits from both bonuses, so the last shot of it deals 295% damage.

No, you lose 50% of bonus Crit Damage on Jhin. I don't know if that is 50% of what you start with (capping you at 250%) or if it's applied to new sources of crit damage as well (capping you at 200%).

So you're not really sure how it works but you will just throw random opinionated disapproval and tell him he's wrong?

I realize I slightly miss read. I thought he was talking of the last of the 4 auto attacks.

Um. I'm explicitly not ignoring it I had 195% at the start of the game thanks to the 45% from crit damage runes I one shot squishies late game with an auto and 947 AD

I've one shot squishies using a build like that on several champions. Good luck pulling 100% damage no boots and no defense against players who actually know the game.

Seems to add up. I just wonder what you had to give up to get that much crit damage.

I am looking heavily into high crit chance builds though. Even though his crits do reduced damage, that's after AD has modified by the crit chance itself. I recall calculating the net increased of expected damage for 100% crit was 210% of the original AD. slightly better than most ADCs. And that doesn't factor his spell casting which benefits from the raw AD.

gave up some armor, some magic resist and 15 AD So basically unless you get very lucky you'll have a hard time in lane trying this. I just thought it'd be nice to discuss the effect this has on his late-game

I think crit junes are really good for him. infiinty edge counters the passive debuff on jhin. With jhins huge dmg 700ad plus late game those crits are going to hit alot harder than other adcs. And since crit scales with damage...the dmg itself is going to be massive....The crit rune damage amp page gives you almost 50 percent more crit damage. Thats around 500 extra crit damage late game...for giving up early game power. I wouldnt recommend it for new jhin players because it makes your laning phase harder but it will make your late game godlike.....my crits hit for 2k.

I posted this a MONth ago LOL But yes you're right. It actually can help a lot early game, too! The fourth auto counts as a crit, so that's a lot more damage!

Jhin's passif takes 25% of your crit damages away. What people doesn't seems to understand is that it works multiplicatively. So, at the start of the game, you

begin with 200%-(1/4 200%)= 150% crit damages

This applies to infinity edge and runes too. IE gives you 37.8% and let's say you got 25% in your runes (so 18.75% ), you would have something like 206% crit damages and 275% on your ult's 4th shot

I think crit runes are pretty good on jhin: it gives you decent early with your 4th hit dealing 18% more (hard time farming though) and a really strong mid-late game once you have IE and another crit item. I've seen someone who did the math (don't remember where) and flat ad gives you a better early, while crit dmgs were far stronger in late

For my part, I go : (25%) crit marks+1 quintessence / armor lvl seal / Magic resistance glyph / attack speed or damages for last 2 quintessences
