Coup de Grace and simultaneous spell hits

Does the Coup de Grace bonus damage apply if you have simultaneous spell hits? Usually, when i burst, all my spells hit simultaneously (I know this because before the spell shield fix, spell shields would block all of my spells instead of just 1, and the damage numbers combine into 1). If I do this, does the Coup de Grace damage bonus still apply, since it is 3 spells and not one, and if it does apply, which one does it apply to? This is all assuming that just 1 or 2 of the spells is enough to bring them below 40%, but they were originally above 40%.

Let's assume that you hit him with the first and second spell (at this point your opponent is at 40% hp) and as you land your third spell the Coup de Grace will trigger and do it's job. But there is a kicker, if you land those "3" spells and he is still above 40% the next spell that comes out of cooldown will not be buffed by the Coup de Grace. The rune is tricky to use but sometimes very efficient.
