Idea: "If single champion reaches 50+% ban rate he/she/it is disabled for the rest of current patch"
Let me get straight to the point: 50+% ban rate screams: "50+% of player base dont want said champ in game". This means that said champ is unbalanced, unfun to play against, unhealthly for game or have no weaknes and can be used to counter 50+% of strategies.
So here is the idea: "If any (even flashy Lee) single champion reaches 50+% ban rate he/she/it is disabled for the rest of current patch"
Disabled champ is then looked at by Riot balance team and can be enabled next patch if they made some changes to it (not necessary nerfs). I think there should be cap like only 3 champs per patch can be disabled.
Also if im right on LCS they dont play on current patch but on the one before it, so champions that were disabled for, lets say, patch 5.7 are disabled on LCS if they play on patch 5.7. Change like this will bring some fresh air to this boring stage.
Disabling those champs free players form wasting their bans for them over and over and over again. Bans should be part of team's strategy not a tool to remove unhealthy picks.
With every new patch there is ban rate reset and 1 week (maybe less) (thanks DrCyanide for pointing this out) to check if there are any new subjects for balance team.
So if u are Rambo u can play during this 1 week with everything enabled.
