Riot nerfing armor items? Why is this a good idea? Can someone explain this to me?

What's the point in going tank after this? I already find myself going full tank in todays games and still getting my head chopped off faster than ned stark, by highly mobile champs nonetheless (because supposedly mobile champs sacrifice their mobility for damage or so they say). If this armor nerf goes into full implementation, then I might as well toss any armor/resistances/health aside on every champ I play because this game is getting ridiculous.

And was not already a ridiculous armor/health/resistance nerf? To me it's the only reason vayne is so batshit crazy now.

Riot's going to work on AD after this.

It's quite likely there aim is to even out the power curve so tanks/fighters don't just dominate AD's 1 major item in and AD's don't dominate tanks/fighters 3 major items in, but we shall see.

Armor counters Kingblade pretty hard. %HP physical damage is physical damage, and does a lower %HP vs. more armor. Armor also counters kingblade life steal, seeing as doing 200 damage with 10% life steal restores 20 HP per hit, but only does 100 damage and restores 10 HP per hit vs. 50% damage reduction (100 armor). AD and AS both ultimately influence physical DPS, which is directly mitigated by armor.

The only useful thing Kingblade has to offer vs. armor is the slow/speed up, seeing as most tanks are more susceptible to kiting than most. But that's pretty much it.

Once they get defense where they want it they can start working on AD. AP is where they want it, MR is getting buffs, and so the next step is armor and AD.

You could say nerf, but they are really just rebalancing everything. Marksmen and their itemization is on the list, and once defense is where they want it to be it will likely be up next. It's possible it will be nerfed, but to get things right it's also possible both it and armor will be buffed. It's trial and error, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, hopefully it will all fall in line after half a year. I still cringe at the though of armor items being nerfed when that is clearly not the priority right now. All defensive items are paper thin when you have a vayne going bat shit crazy with that ridiculous botrk.

because tank meta, now you have a predominance of tank, even champs that are not supposed to be tanks build as such.

what makes one think about why would they add those 2 new tank items (gage and hydra)

Garen grag nasus elise darius ect are not real tanks. It is a brusier meta.

I suppose I prefer games where teamfights last longer than 4-5 seconds. Where a little more skill is involved as there is more time to fight/use abilities and such. Maybe that's why I'm finding this whole thing a little hard to accept. Continue to downvote though. It's clear that it's all coming from 100-0 mobile assassin users.
