6÷2(2+1) how do you solve it
Um thats like 1 PEMDAS aka FUCK YOU JOHNNY LUNCHBOX IM LEVEL 11 AND I KNOW MY MATH!
1, multiply 2 and 1 by 2, then divide by 6.
WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT I CAN AND CANNOT DO?!
And Janna, the answer is 0.75, because the only case in which it is permissible to lay your math out like that is if your superscript is broken, so it's 6/2^(2+1), and if that is not the intended answer, then you are are committing blasphemy against mathematics, and you will be sought for sound, just, and severe punishment resultant from your arithmetic heresy. That question is the mathematical equivalent of sticking a pen up your nose, scrawling a wobbly circle with a stem down the middle, and asking if it's supposed to be a 'p' or a 'q'. It could be either, because you did it wrong.
Sorry, bro, but I think you shoulda been held back to level 10.
DMAS. But it doesn't matter, because multiplication/division and addition/subtraction are supposed to be interchangeable--because it assumes equations are written properly. The ÷ is a substitute character to allow equations to be written in a single line, and their proper use in longer equations like the one quoted requires brackets to indicate how much of the following equation is supposed to represent the denominator.
Since it doesn't follow the rules, picking it apart is like picking apart the sentence "I went to the mall with Bob and Eric and Steve met us there." Did Bob and I go to the mall with Eric? Or did Eric meet me there with Steve? The answer is that you went to the mall alone, because nobody wants to hang out with you on account of your poor grammar skills, and you will probably die sad and alone and 20lbs overweight whilst living in a van down by the river.
Don't step to my maths, boy. I play
