Once 10 bans happen I will never have to deal with Yasuo again

Lauchmelder··116 votes·4,357 views

It's not that he's overpowered (he's not).

His kit just tilts the living shit out of me, and probably not me alone. Especially his E. Can't we just remove the minion cooldown and give Yasuo a resource instead?

Would at least stop him from dashing all over the place with up to no drawbacks.

Don't do Mana though (because of ER) give him energy with low costs. Invent a new one like Stamina. Just give him a resource.

I'm tired of people asking for energy bars as if it's going to fix the problem. He isn't an assassin like Zed Akali Kennen He is now a skirmisher like Riven he focuses on long fights where he can disrupt and kill everything in his path as best as possible. Energy will just ruin him all together. What they need to do is change windwall and maybe change his passive to 50% increased crit chance instead of 100%.

they need to get rid of that stupid shield....it makes him way too safe to do that stupid minion skating whenever he wants and makes him impossible to kill.

Why, so you can pressure a weak melee Yasuo out early game because you can't abuse his range with just auto-attacks?

Stop asking to remove essential parts of his kit. The shield is there to help him survive hard-hitting attacks from various sources and it's only going to make things worse.

Supreme Senpai694 votes

The mobility and shield are essential to him as a melee ADC. What I hate is the windwall. I don't see why he needs that, champion-function wise.

Yaśuo Main7 votes

To trade even better and prevent tower sieges from bot lane, etc.

But I don't mind it being made into a new ability entirely. Kinda like Mao's ult being changed.

Mannny3 votes

I see no issue with the windwall other than the fact that it gets a bit too huge late game. It can cover the whole width of the baron entrance. Besides it's size there is nothing else wrong with it. Maybe instead of looking to fire shots at Yasuo learn to play against him.

Supreme Senpai691 votes

W-what shot did I fire? Am I not allowed to dislike a specific ability on a champion with a high playrate and high ban rate? If it offends you less I can complain about Lee Sin's ult or Cait's traps instead... but the threads about Yasuo so that seems silly

Mannny1 votes

I'unno. I just feel like the shield is to trade better. Whys he need something to trade "even" better lol.

You are clearly firing shots at Yasuo and his kit so I just wanted to chip in and say what I thought about him, and how I think he isn't as oppressive as everyone makes him out to be.

Supreme Senpai691 votes

I was just asking what function his W serves in a discussion that began with what function his passive and E serve. I said I understood why he needs the E and passive but was confused why he needs the W. I'm really not "firing shots." But I do agree that he isn't as oppressive as everyone makes him out to be. He can be insanely oppressive if ahead, like Akali, but he doesn't have to get ahead to begin with and that's where the counterplay is imo

I just disagree with the reason "He needs his W to trade better." Cuz that's why he has his passive.

Blåbæret1 votes

Remove his E or the armor pen on his ult or double crit chance.

Morgan le Fey1 votes

But all of those are core to his kit... those are a big part of what him do the whole Yasuo "thing". He definitely doesn't need an overall nerf, at least at low elo. He's so weak before late-game as it is unless someone feeds him 2-3 kills and he CSes properly. >.>

Lauchmelder4 votes

If he's supposed to engage in long fights then something's wrong regardless.

He's more like a melee ADC. I wouldn't exactly call that a skirmisher.

GULAG 4 U32 votes

Melee adcs ARE skirmishers

Lauchmelder4 votes

I have a serious problem with this definition then. Because engaging in long teamfights while building nearly full glascannon doesn't add up.

GULAG 4 U12 votes

Well it's riot's classification and how they balance the game around. Melee carries are supposed to build full damage and thrive and extended fights. Of course, Yasuo, nor any other melee carry excluding tryndamere, never ends up building full damage because it's not worth it.

Skystrike71 votes

Yi also builds full damage often.

Works well in bronze : ^)

They have in-kit defenses to help them scrap. They rely more on mechanics than numbers in comparison to marksmen.

"long fights" a picture of riven, made me giggle

Mannny2 votes

Just telling you what she was designed for, not what is better. Riven item 3142 item 3147 item 3814 is obviously going to be a short fight.

EndlessSorcerer12 votes

Honestly, I couldn't care less if the enemy team gets Yasuo.

I just don't want him on my team.

Sadly, Ivern and Lee Sin have a few higher priority on bans at the moment. They just crush pretty much every jungler who isn't Graves into the dirt.

I think you don't know how starting a conversation works. Can I help?

Starting a conversation? About what?

You even contradict yourself. You wrote that he isn't op yet you propose to give him some resource and giving E charges, which is a nerf. So the question is why would he need a nerf if he isn't op?

That is wrong. I propose to give him a resource and REMOVE the unit cooldown. It's a nerf with a compensation buff, which would simply change how he functions without giving or taking power.

Secondly, all your arguments are based on your emotional bias. Your negative attitude towards Yasuo is hell not a reason to change or nerf him.

That's true. The post is a post based on emotion. That doesn't mean it's not a valid opinion.

Before you start posting make sure you don't spot any bullshit. Yasuo's drawback is he can't dash back on the same minion because of cooldown. And he can't dash freely without enemy unit.

Yes, however he can dash too much with enemy units around. And yes, this is bias. I'm not saying that he is OP, I'm saying that his kit is tilt inducing.

Not to mention he expose himself to gank and pushes the wave while dashing.

He can just dash through your jungler and flash if neccessary.

Oh yeah, and Lee Sin, Jax, Fiora are tilting me as well, but I don't cry over it.

Having a reasonable complaint about a champion isn't crying. Even if you think that's what it is. But that's just a problem with you having a wrong definition.

Like it's relevant.

There isn't any reason to convert, learn to play and don't cry.

Irrelevant part of a comment.

Your whole post is based on a "you're calling him OP when he isn't" standpoint.

No. Yasuo is not OP. If I say that his kit is tilting to play against I mean that it's tilting to play against.

If I would think that he's overpowered I would say so.

Pre-gut Azir was in a similar spot. He had counterplay, that didn't mean that he was fun to play against.

I still think he should store up charges on his E, as it stands now it's basically a more powerful Akali Ult...

Skins Project12 votes

Wtf..

Just Wtf..

More powerful akali ult?

Wut...

They don't do the same thing...

Yes they are both mobility spells but beyond that there is no comparison.

Terozu2 votes

They're repeated dashes, and I'm saying his should BE MORE LIKE hers, he should store up charges, and instead get rid of the dash timer.

Skins Project3 votes

No...

Akali is a dash to/behind...

Yasuo is a dash THROUGH.

Animation time is diffrent.

Effect intended is diffrent.

Dude just stop. I play yasuo and akali. I'm telling you RIGHT NOW they're just mobility spells. No comparison beyond that.

Terozu2 votes

You aren't reading what I'm saying, or you just aren't getting it. Either way it's futile to try to simplify it further, it's already to easy to understand.

Skins Project3 votes

let me quote this..

as it stands now it's basically a more powerful Akali Ult...

That is a direct comparison.

Your second comment

and I'm saying his should BE MORE LIKE hers, he should store up charges, and instead get rid of the dash timer.

Your trying to make 2 unlike things the same.

And i'm saying. NO that is stupid.

Terozu1 votes

Incorrect, in context of the original post I was saying it was basically a more spamable Akali ult, since that was the OP's main complaint, in the context of spamability his is more powerful. I'm saying it should have charges like hers not that they're the same. That's not hard to understand, it's called 2nd grade reading comprehension.

Skins Project2 votes

Darln...

Being that me and at least 4 other people didn't understand, I think it might, you know just have a 1% possibility that maybe you didn't explain clearly? I'm sorry. I'm not you. I don't think the same way you do. if you want to tell me something, TELL ME it. Don't give vague details and then assume I know exactly what you want.

it's nothing like akali ult what are you smoking

DunkinNoobs5 votes

You'll have to play against him again if you ever get to higher elo. But let's be honest, Yasuo whiners never get to higher elo.

Lauchmelder2 votes

Not if he's permabanned.

DunkinNoobs7 votes

Higher elo players don't ban Yasuo because he's not really that amazing.

Lauchmelder5 votes

And if I waste a ban on him that's not a problem anybody should complain about.

I'd rather face a Graves jungle than a Yasuo. That's just how unfun I find it to play against him.

If you agree on that? It doesn't really matter. I will keep banning him.

Venomar5 votes

I pitched an idea to make him use "wind" as a resource. Becuase you know, every one of his abilities use it...Movement generating resources instesd of a gimmicky shield sounds pretty thematically on fucking point for him...

But that went of like a fart in church in that particular thread.

IGotScuttleCrabs1 votes

Suggested a similar thing awhile back. Give him a larger flow amount. Taking damage procs his shield that takes a percent of his Flow based on amount of damage. Shield then goes on cooldown. His Windwall can be activated and consumes his Flow based on how long you keep it up before deactivating.

AmazoX5 votes

And how exactly would you control his flow? It would limit his capabilities of using his ability when he has no control over the resource at all resulting in destroying the concept of him being a skirmisher, Which is also a flat-out unnecessary nerf when his not even good at this current meta.

Sammystorm4 votes

This is exactly why 10 bans shouldn't happen.

IGotScuttleCrabs20 votes

Hoping that ten bans leading into some champs being perma banned makes Riot address why they're so disliked even when they aren't op

Sammystorm2 votes

if they aren't overpowered they shouldn't be changed in my opinion. People enjoy yasuo and people hate him. That doesn't mean he deserves to be perma banned status or changed.

Chembaron Yamada14 votes

If a champion is hated by the mass, it is a hint that there is something really frustrating about the kit to face even if the champion is not overpowered objectively.

Yes, people enjoy playing Yasuo. But if he is permabanned when 10 bans are happening, then this shows that there are probably even more people who don't enjoy playing against him. That is a solid reason to make changes for a kit.

IGotScuttleCrabs11 votes

Exactly. I seriously enjoyed old Poppy. But she was forced to be weak because her kit was unfun for others to play against. For some mind blowing reason they won't give their star child champs the same neglect they give others like Aatrox.
