Whats the point of Lethal Tempo now?

With the new Hail of Blades, Lethal Tempo becomes more and more obsolete.

It was already a niche pick, but by buffing Hail of Blades, it made Lethal Tempo pretty much a never picked rune now...

Hail of Blades is for those quick moments of burst. It won't do well in a prolonged teamfight unless you can keep ducking out for 2 seconds to reset it, whereas Lethal Tempo will be more useful in a longer fight.

Lethal tempo is actually pretty cool, and makes for some silly outplays. Say you get ganked and start winding up lethal tempo. All the sudden, you attack twice as fast as both your enemies. So long as you don’t only cower, you’ll do decent damage.

I wouldn’t say it’s obsolete, but it requires good knowledge of your champion to properly utilize the power of high attack speed.

Lethal Tempo has more uptime in a teamfight. Hail of Blades only lasts for three attacks until you leave combat.

Sustained damage vs. burst
