I've just played a couple of games wiith her. And...

Yes, she still deals damage. Yes, she can still go after a target and try to anhilate.

But...

I miss the feeling of hitting a Charm and thinking "Yes! Is time to deal real damage". The adrenaline and entusiasm of hitting a Charm and feeling that's now is the moment that you have been waiting for act. That feeling... has dissapeared.

Yes, it's still necessary if you want to burst someone. But idk, now I feel that I could just poke with Q and go all in with W-R. That Charm isn't core now in her gameplay. And I don't really understand the Q MS boost. I mean, I don't understand how it reinforces the idea of Ahri. I just felt her more with the old Charm that with the new Q.

PD: Sorry for my bad english and sorry for bothering with another Ahri thread. I just wanted to share my feeling and hope por a Riot's response.

I'm in a custom game right now, i had to get 16 kills with bots to be able to almost 1 shot a tank with no items. =l

To me it feels as if that's what Ahri always should have been. charms is fairly predictable, and not as fast as I feel it should be for something she was so stupidly reliant on. people say she's mobile: she isn't. not until she activates her ult, which takes out her whole mana bar and only lasts for 3 dashes, with like 100 seconds downtime in which she has....flash. and a lot of squishiness. Now she'll have that flighty feel that I always assigned to her.

It feels like its not worth it to waste mana on charm anymore since it doesn't do anything

I'm an Ahri main and I love the changes. It is sad that she is weaker now without the charm amp but it would upset me more if they removed the current MS boost, reduced cast time, higher AP ratios and ult leniency (over terrain).

I never built DFG on Ahri and I love that she can succeed with different builds and playstyles. I played her as a kite-mage but would assassinate out of place squishies if I was doing well enough.

Ahri should be properly compensated but I really hope it's not at the cost of the 5.2 changes. Just my opinion...

That's what they want to remove. Her damage was so inefficient without the Charm buff that it was barely worth the effort.

Now that DFG + Charm is gone they can raise her DPS without worrying about her 100-0 burst.

I get the feels. But they didn't add the damage amp on charm until pretty recently... I think this current deal is a buff to the "ancient" Ahri, if you are calling the damage amp on E old.

I'll post a video of me with the same amount of items on Sona but more damage. Btw, this is NOT a reason to nerf Sona . . .
