@Riot Where FrostBlade Irelia can still improve

I've been reading lots of threads these days about how improving FrostBlade Irelia. And Riot has listened and has improved the skin with colours and details, like it's on PBE now and can be seen on S20

However, besides colours, details and model, there is a thing that I think it must be looked again: textures. Mainly with her hair and blades.

  1. Hair looks like a block of coloured rock. It looked like that as purple and it looks again like stone as blue, specially at her rear part. Idk if the best option is try to make the hair look more like hair or keep the current itineration of being ice, but anyways it would be better if it looked like something more than one solid rock.
  2. Blades don't look like blades. Maybe it would be better if they looked more like iceshards and less like icicles.

Just my two cents. I'm not an artist, so I don't know how to archieve these changes, that's up to you if they can be made or not. But I honestly think it must be look.

I’m not gonna lie: I think that’s the point with those two things.

One of the big things that I think some people aren’t paying attention to with the Irelia rework is how they minimized the profile of each blade as an individual and focused on bringing attention to the swarm as a whole. The blades are important, yes, but they’re not supposed to impose or stand out all on their own like with old Irelia. Their uniqueness comes with how they work around the character herself. While the blade design isn’t ideal, perhaps, I have no problem with them being more simple.

The hair I think is just a carry over from the old Irelia skin. In Frostblade, her hair was also nothing but literal icicles.

The irony is that I like the fur pelt look, I think it looks empty without it.

? ice is neither luid nor soft. it should look rough and stony.

? her new haircut is one of the things that are far better than the old one's

? i doubt they change it into just white hair or something similar.

? it already looks too soft in her splash which looks weird a f cause ice should NOT move with the wind...

? i think Riot wanted the blades to look more like ice-shards. which is more than fine by me, but could look much sharper

I don't like the armour piece over the bust. The current frostblade skin emphasizes both bust and butt with the gold armour pieces framing them, and the blue suit being the in-between so she's not walking around exposed.
