Hey, man. Just logged in to say thank you. I'm one of the few support mains out there. This new meta is the absolute worst, man. I have a couple things to say...
The support role has become a joke. If you aren't playing Zyra, Brand, or Malzahar, or if you're not playing cheese lanes like Morg/Cait, then it feels like you're pretty much guaranteed to lose lane anymore.
Even if you manage to win lane with a duo like Nami/Vayne that can potentially snowball well, there's always a good chance that an assassin or a broken ass tank that does too much damage and never dies is gonna pull an early roam and channel their new fancy Edge of Night spellshield or proc their CotC shield and kill the both of you in less than a few seconds. Then, there goes your turret. And dragon. And possibly the whole damn game.
I'm on a 7-8 game losing streak in ranked. I may not have played perfectly, and I might not be the best support in the world. But I feel as though I've done my job overall in just about every single one of those games. I've discovered I don't win as often if I'm playing a healer or shielder. Pretty sure I didn't play Zyra, Malzahar, or Brand in any of those losses. It's all about the damage and all-ins these days.
I say all this to say it can get pretty discouraging — so much to the point where I've actually considered taking a break from League until the meta is better and certain champions are balanced.
