I mean, sometimes the previous client had its hang-up moments, but never for more than a couple of seconds.
I've been kicked because I couldnt pick my Champ due to the Mordekaiserian speeds the client now runs at. Is anyone seeing this?
I was in pick ban phase and was changing my masteries. Once the bans came around to me i couldnt exit my mastery page to ban anyone. Now I'm banned for 15 minutes and worried that if it happens again I could have a more serious ban. Rlly hoping riot gets it fixed
Yea its been laggy for me too. I'll probably just switch back to legacy until it gets fixed.
I've had very few issues. The only two being sometimes I can't buy RP, and sometimes the play button lags a little.
Laggy, random dc. And crashes. Yeah. It looks sleek tho.
Superlaggy on my toaster. Even in-game FPS dropped from 80 to 20 and below. I tought I have to buy a new PC. Luckily I came here and learned to use legacy-client. FPS went back to 80 and above and game is still playable. New client look cool and I hope they fix it before it becomes mandatory.
I just came into a lobby and was 2nd to ban, after the enemy team, and when it came around to me I had 7 seconds left and I tried to make a real ban but never even reached the point of clicking on the champ before I was kicked from the lobby and put on a timer. The lobby is crazy laggy, I don't even want to know how bad the shop is, and changing masteries becomes a journey(I have 1 mastery page and edit it for each time). If I have to upgrade my system just to not be kicked from the lobby I might as well stop playing league, it might just be bug but what do I know. In game everything runs smoothly.
there is also no way to add anyone to your block list in the new client...
It's a beta. Beta software is, by definition, buggy.
I have that too. I thought it was just because I have a toaster
I've experienced a handful of problems even the same ones that were in the alpha client.
Riot shouldn't have released the beta client to the public, even in its alpha state it shouldn't have a ranked feature.
Sadly we can't do anything about this.

It has been like this since Alpha. It's kinda hilarious and kinda shame at the same time that the client is more demanding than the game itself.
I was an alpha tester from the very beginning and I had this problem throughout testing, so I was hoping it would be fixed by the time beta launched. I had to wait for a while when I clicked any champion, spam click Lock In and pray that I didn't dodge. If I wanted to pick another champion, it was hell. I play on a MacBook Pro, which I know isn't optimal but it still ran the legacy client pretty well. And my laptop's fans go on the moment I open the new client, which didn't happen in the old client or at least happened after multiple hours of grinding League. I hope this is fixed soon!
i have no problems with performance, but if my PC can run GTA V on Ultra settings it would be kinda wierd if it couldnt handle lol client
The lol client took too long to respond after I clicked Start. While its starting, i couldnt do anything else but my computer gets really laggy. Cant open a folder or webpage. The good news is this is still in testing.

Not just you. Lags during champion select for me. Lags to the point I barely have time to pick a champion or ban. And also, not being able to block players in the new client is just straight up uncool. Using legacy client for now.
Yeah, I'm having issues too. I've checked my graphics card, I've gotten my internet to 35mbs, I get around 60fps, but league is almost completely inoperable. Playing league is torture because of lag.
Same here, I've been kicked several times from champion select because it would take 30 seconds to load anything new and by the time I was able to click anything it was too, and earlier today I clicked a champ to ban and it clicked someone else entirely (...the enemy team wound up picking the same champ I tried to ban =.=)
It might be because my laptops old (got it in 2012, and still works fine, god bless its soul T.T )
I tested the new client as well, and at champ select I raged like 
. Time ran out before I could do anything.
I really play on a toaster, but I dont think thats the problem. Fortunally, you still can play on the old client.
i lost a rank because of changing client's i did not know i was going to get lagg and just as it happened i smashed my metal lamp into the wall and made a huge hole thank you riot you fucking A-hole's!
Just had to auto dodge a ranked game because I couldn't ban a champ. After i picked him, his image had circles in it indicating that something is loading. Anyway, it didn't load on time and the ban button was still grayed out so I was kicked. Had lag before it as well even though I have a descent rig.
Switching to legacy until hopefully this gets sorted out.
I haven't run into any bugs so far. I think my computer just can't handle it nearly as well as the old client, and it makes me sad because it's so new and beautiful, but I can barely run it. I'm gonna need to upgrade if I want to enjoy this game anymore.

Yeah, this client is f*cked, dude. I've also had 3 games in a row where people afk'd and we had to end early.
It lagged so bad I couldn't see lobby chat. and when I picked my champ, it took a full a full 20 seconds for the click to register. In-game ain't that bad. It's just the friggin menus
It's extremely laggy for me. can't get past champ select unless i play aram and just pray I get an ap champ (for r&m) .
It was so laggy for me that it almost froze up my entire computer. I don`t know if I can even play League until they do something about it.
EDIT: Now it tells me there`s another instance of the client running whenever I try launching it :/
i have a not so good pc so it is soo laggy i hope they can fix this and maby a dayly or weekly rotation from the login schreen spash arts
I have to wait 5 minutes because riot screwed up and fixed what was not broken. Lagged out and missed banning.
It is literally the laggiest UI I have ever used,
I'm even running it on a Radeon M275 with an I7 clocked at 2.00 GHz with 12 gigs of DDR3, the result is 6 fps
I wish the client doesn't run on 4 processes at once especially on a low end computer it is an issue right now. I tried to play on my school laptop and I couldn't even select a champ let alone the mastery because if I try to pick before it loads I will get Q ban because it doesn't respond.[zombie-nunu-bummed] The Client seems to work fine until the champ select.
I can't even open the Beta Client on Windows 7. Thought other people would have this problem too, since the only thing that's dated on my rig is the OS. Guess I won't be playing League this week. :/

I have the same problem. Everything needs at leat 10 seconds to response. Animations are super slow and/or stutter. I hardly can pick a champ in champ select. It takes me about 20 seconds to even chance my summoner spells.... Please don't force us to take the new client in the future, otherwise I can't play League anymore. :(
Get a better PC.
