For some reason old Thornmail felt better

Bramble Vest is a great item, even as a early laning item against certain top laners (Nasus and Darius for example). But what Bramble vest upgrades into, is just a bit sad compared to the old version. Warden's Mail and it's Cold Steel passive just doesn't feel right on the item. Main due to the fact if you are building Thornmail, you are probably going to build Randuins or Frozen Heart anyway.

Thornmail's build rate probably sky rocketed after it's changes because of what it offers but that doesn't make it a good item.

I'm much prefer it to be armour only, no health. Maybe + + 1000, then buff reflected magic damage to 20% armour scaling, remove the cold steel passive obviously. Make it 90 armour.

some reason? It's rather obvious why: The new returndamage is WAY below the old. even if you figure in the GW vs lifesteal, and the cold-steel effect works against the flat return damage and short GW The stats for the gold are also not to great.
