I guess pick order doesn't matter anymore

I understand that you have two roles primary and secondary. But if im a higher pick shouldn't i get to play my primary? Ok i was in que for 15+ minutes i was getting adc every time. Then i get support. ( Adc main really didnt wanna play support ). Im higher pick so i decided to go adc. ( First game on new system ). Didn't know that meant that the dude could still go adc feed and im the one reported for trolling even though i was doing well ingame. Vayne was 2-10 and i was 3-0 at one point and ended 4-5 cuz every other lane fed. But the point is this system is busted and the game literally is telling you what to play even by old system standards the vayne was cleary in the wrong. I just don't know anymore i may be done with league till they fix this. And if they don't maybe forever. Mind you this was only my first game and i just don't like what it promotes.

When you enter the game lobby it tells you whether you got your primary or secondary position. You play what you received, you did not, you were the troll.

So basically i should not play league because i have no problem filling any role. But if im a higher pick i should be able to play whatever i want. And i liked that about solo que. Sometimes i literally didnt mind filling and being last pick. But if 3 ppl called mid and i was 1st pick i got mid. Its stupid that i have to play a role just because riot says i have to play a role. This new shit is stupid.

No, 3-4-5 are banning, not first pick, so theoretically, being higher pick doesn't mean anything anymore. If you don,t want to play support, don,t put support, simple.

So, here's the thing: you're tentatively assigned a position. Don't want that position or want to change because you're higher pick? Have you...have you tried talking to the team? In particular the person who is tentatively holding the position/role you wanted? Because pick order isn't the end-all-be-all if you go back to official conversations. It's negotiation. If they still want that position, take whatever is left or take what you were assigned. It seems a lot easier than it had been.

If you have no problems with filling, then you should pick fill instead of a certain role.

Well, everyone cant pick at the same time.... So therefore, there will always be a sequential order to picking, you just wont have a choice as to how to use your place.

I still do pick order if I see I can counter-pick the enemy team. Playing to win is not a punishable offense.

I will also do pick order , disregarding what the "role assignment" says if someone on my team bans what I declared I would pick... if my character is banned, I will be forced to play something else (Obviously). The system is pretty bad.

So you are trolling your team just because you think you know better then your teammates? I hope you know that is a ban worthy action. Just because you are higher in the pick order(in the new dynamic queue) doesn't mean you get to play any role. This is why there are role assignments and you pick two roles you can play.

I highly doubt I would ever get banned for counter-picking the enemy team, I.e. playing to win/optimizing pre-game choices... or conversely, selecting a different role because my champion was banned by my own team, etc.

You are saying that you don't care about the system and that you will play your way forcing your team to deal with it. THIS IS TROLLING. If you do this they can report you and you can be banned.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with counter-picking the enemy team during picks, that's a major part of the game even by Riot's admission. If you dislike it, be sure to report after game ... I'm sure Riot members will have a nice laugh at your hysterics.

I know counter picking is an important part. However, you should ask your teammate first before picking their role. The point of the new queue is that the players get their role (at least that's part of it). So just because you can do well and counter pick doesn't mean your teammate should suffer because he/she got his/her role taken. You can also ask to trade and counter pick that way.

(P.S. Do you know the fallacy fallacy? Just because it's a fallacy doesn't mean it's false.)

I agree with half. If someone bans the champ I declare, all bets are off. However, I will not take the role of another teammate and will counterpick for my own lane only (if applicable) since it is much more dangerous to have an ADC main be forced to jungle or top when they don't even know what melee is, than it is to be at a slight disadvantage in everyone's main role.

There is no pick order anymore. You can't do something that doesn't exist.

There are only roles that are assigned to you ... the ones you chose yourself prior the game.

You could do the smart thing and ask your ally for a role switch, so you can counterpick. Otherwise, pick order isn't how it works anymore, so yeah, you're trolling. Obviously.

Correct. It should never have mattered in the first place except there was no better way to determine who gets to play what they want and calling in chat was literally the worst system possible.
