Chat Revamp

Take away text chat completely and add a voice com system.

• Why?

Psychologically a person is more likely to harass someone in text than actually say the things they type. If you don't believe me, try inviting a toxic person to Discord and see how fast they change their attitude.

• What about people without a mic/headset

They can still hear the chat. Riot could also implement a set of quick chat messages that are relevant to the game (Runescape had this for muted people and it worked quite well.)

• Why not just use Discord?

Having voice coms is not the focus here. It is to remove toxicity through eliminating the chat box all together.

• Developing a voice com system takes a lot of time/effort.

Buy out Curse Voice. Hardly anyone uses it anymore now that Discord has become popular. By buying out Curse Voice Riot could tweak and polish it to work better specifically for League of Legends.

The only "downside" I could see to this is it would make server hopping next to impossible for some. Honestly that is not much a downside in my opinion.
