Can someone answer all these MMR questions?

If I gain 10 LP for a win but lose 20 LP for a loss, it means my MMR is low right?

If I gain 20 LP but lose 10 LP it means my MMR is high right?

If I gain 20 LP but lose 10 LP while duoing, how will this effect when I go solo?

The reason I ask these is because I duo'd with my friend a bit while getting out of bronze and I noticed I would gain 20 but lose 10. Then I started on my own again, lost a few then started winning and just plain fluctuating. I started noticing that I would gain 20 but lose 18. Does this mean my MMR went down? Will it even out if I win a few more or duo with higher elos?

What rank was your friend?

If he was higher (like silver 3-1) then his mmr would be significantly higher than yours. This means the average mmr of the games you played with him would be higher than you normal level of mmr and thus you gain 20 (its not too high thus you aren't gaining like 25-27) but only are losing 10 because the system knows you are with better players and it will expect you to lose more often (unless you are that skill level in which case you will just climb up faster with great lp gains and minor lp losses).

EDIT:

I just looked you up, you have a 57% win ratio which is pretty good, keep it up and climbing will be pretty fast and easy. Focus on cs more btw, you are going past 20 min without at least 100 cs in some of your games. aim for that and then try to hit 120, 130 cs.

yeah I've noticed. Been trying to practice as lucian or jinx but if I feed then thats usually that because my supp will die then 1 of us will return to lane at a time. Then it all goes downhill from there :/.

But ty for explaining. He was like gold 5 but I just realized, most of the time he'd use a smurf lol. So idk. oh well ty.
