either put back his 1 second on damage, or take away the rework completely.

It was a reasonable change with the 1 second shield, it stinks now. Just put him back to where he was.

Okay, for those that didn't figure it out.... It was Malzahar that was changed nearly completely. Then nerfed like crazy. He was almost as good with the change given the shield and the 1 second 90% reduction in damage after taking damage that broke the shield.

Now he is not only under powered, but way more squishy. I'd prefer him back to his original state ... the pool, silence, mal visions, and voidlings after 4 casts (and the voidlings actually doing a lot more damage, and proc 100% of ad with the same increases after time). He wasn't op, but right powered. The change was almost a wash, but now he is useless. Bring back the original.

how high are you right now

what difference does that make? Ranked is for kids that have to compare themselves to others. I stopped playing ranked in season 3

the blatangly overpowered passive is all that was keeping malzahar afloat. He has a 'high winrate' because the meta is based around snowballers in the mid and bot lanes, and malzahar plays so passively, does so little burst, and has so little sustained damage that he goes even. he has to little lethality and is just an auxiliary support =/

so instead of making him viable in the meta, they just nerfed him into oblivion? That makes. NOT.

He was already viable. He needed small changes; a new W and a new passive to promote being aggressive. Not a full blown rework.

Plasma Servant1 votes

I don't see where he needed to be changed ... yes, he was passive. The changes were a wash ... he could be more aggressive, and not get instantly killed. His w used to be one of his major damage dealers, they took that and made it cast voidlings (that now die with single turret hits, 2 auto attacks, and have no real scaling. His passive was the voidlings, and it was worth something. Now his passive is useless. Single auto attack and it goes down and .25 sec. damage reduction. Big deal. He was stronger before the rework. He was passable after the rework with a 1 sec. damage reduction, he is useless with a .25 sec damage reduction.

Must be Malzahar.

This whole post is gibberish

I figured everyone would know it was malz

who else did they just nerf and remove the 1 second and make it senselessly .25 on his shield? The change before was about a wash, now it is a major nerf.

Kaisa is Hot1 votes

Aww :( poor Malzahar player :( good riddance :). Fuck that champ.

Plasma Servant1 votes

You sound just like the teemo haters YOu don't know how to play against him, and therefore you want him nerfed. How about nerfing YOUR favorite champ?

Akali, Kalista, Kassadin? They've been nerfed a ton and I still made them work. Stop Q-Qing maybe now you won't blindly go up to someones face without consequences.

So where does he fit? He isn't a mage with enough power, he doesn't have a huge burst, he isn't mobile. Slow, very little damage, no movement speed, no range to speak of ... his passive was his saving grace. There are so many others that are better, have more power and mobility, longer poke and and escape. If they don't want to restore the passive, just take back all the changes, admit they didn't know what they were doing and until they have a real idea, don't change what isn't broken. Malzahar was not broken in the first place.

Lol you would be maining champs that malz dumps on.

I suppose Malzahar.

I just want to point out:

Old Malzahar's Voidlings scaled off of Levels, Armor Penetration, and Bonus AD.

But yes pre-rework Malz would be preferred in terms of freely being able to cast spells instead of being forced to use spells at certain times simply to deal damage.

There was also the whole thematic thing where Malzahar was supposed to be empowered/infused by the Void... Not defended by it. Plus the whole "eventual coming" of the Void vs "instant spawn" that we have now for the Void creatures.

Edit: Also if one of the nerfs were to go back, I think the 30-6 seconds lasting .25 seconds at lv 18 shield would be the more healthy option.

The problem is that he breaks the meta that riot wants ... who cares what riot wants? The issue is that if they want a particular meta, then they need to make all champions viable in that meta. If a champion breaks the meta, then the meta is the problem, not the champion. Riot needs to learn they are not the important ones in League, it is the players that are important. What they did to Malz is to break a good champion into a worthless one.
