I don't understand why when people see something strong...it needs to be nerfed. It hows only been like 4 pro games it has been in. That is not enough time for people to come up with counters. Please stop crying over something that is not even broken....
That sounds like some BS engage-wise, but it's far from the only impossible to avoid chain CC duo.

but it isnt new.......... its a chinese boosting strat lol and more often than not if something is used in pro play its because its strong and or abuses a system in the game that makes it more efficient or stronger than what normally would be played. factor in the team setting so i wont get people telling me but they use ryze nad hes horrible in solo que
So it's just chain CC? How is it any different than Morgana/Jhin chaining their roots, or Ashe and Blitzcrank chaining their CC? It's not even effective until she hits level 6, and like Sona in any other iteration, she dies to a strong gust of wind. I'm not sure why it's difficult to play against - anyone who can go toe to toe with any melee support can easily trump it.
There is one easy counter: AP Assasins
Taric ult needs ramp up time, and sona is squishy af. Taric only gives armor (so zed/talon cant do any damage to sona at all).
Kassadin jumps in, oneshots sona, goes out. Fizz jumps in, oneshots sona and goes golden. Malphite goes in, oneshots sona. Leblanc goes in and oneshots sona. And Taric cant do shit against it.

It’s not about the chain CC imo, its the strat overall, you cant poke, you cant go in, you cant stall, and in lane it’s just not fair for a sona with -100 CS to be ahead in gold, but u have to cs and walk up, and there is so much poke and if you try to take advantage of their horrible wave clear the jungler will bend you over

The Sona and Taric combo is broken 100%. pro players ban these 2 champs for a reason and it is because they can't even play against it. with Taric sitting at an oustanding winrate of 58% I would say Taric is the main problem. Sona in my opinion is annoying to lane against but you can counter her Taric in the other hand is just hard to deal with mainly because of his base stats and kit overall. his E damage on his stun is way too high and his W. if a champ sits with a winrate of 58% then something should be done about it. Same when they had the funnel strategy with Yi jungle and Taric top lane. Taric is always in these broken boosting strats. (I know lulu was also used as a funnel strat with yi)
Well apparently my friend and I are trolls for playing it even though I main Taric and he mains Sona and we started playing the duo before it was ever played in pros. If we don't do well we are immediately blamed for the loss and reported.

if something is "to op" in pro plays its gonna get nerfed lets be honest most nerfs and buffs are made around pro plays anyway

This combo has been around since before you've seen it in pros. I've seen it as early as last season actually.
Its almost as oppressive as Veigar + Zilean bot lane ;)
Its been in solo q, and in the EU servers. Its been around for a while, its very broken, and far as I'm aware, there's no counter to it other than a very early game composition before those two pop off. Win in mid and top lane and push objectives before mid game comes around.
The problem is that never really happens, you have to be so insanely dominant its almost impossible.
The problem is nerfing either of them is unfair because by themselves those champions would become useless with any kind of nerf. Its just that together its magical.
