I know riot is working on ways for supports to get more experience but how do you peeps feel about getting more gold? This whole concept of one role having low gold income is just dumb. What ends up happening is that all support items are gimped because they have to cost less. Support items would be so much more powerful if supports got more gold and and the power allotment could be raised.
Having high Gold income without having to CS or worry about being zoned away or dying is even more dumb
Support Gold isnt in too bad of a place, Im usually a pretty high gold earner in top laner and average like 13k gold per game. Across 5 games of support this season ive averaged 9.6k gold. So for a role that isn't taking much CS, its doing pretty well. If supports could get equal gold without CS/Kills/Etc, then the mage supports would run rampant... more so than they are already.
Just to majorly generalize the numbers... These are based off my season so far

So the difference in GPG is 3767 and in CSPG it is 185
Obviously we know its not this, but lets say all Creeps are 20G each, so 185 by 20G = 3700 Gold.
Supports only get less gold because they are not farming lanes/creeps at a Carry's rate.
All supports need is a bigger role in the game. All Riot would have to do is find a way to make duo lane in mid lane or perhaps introduce a duo JG. Another option would be to introduce a quick way to travel between lanes early game accessible only for supports based on in-game first tower. Grant supports a bigger role than simply babysitting and you fix the support issue.
I think they just need to make assists have the same amount of gold as kills it might help with gold income problems. Because I know when my adc backs with 1300 g and im just like oh ok i have 900g and i need to buy health pots, sight stone, and at least 1 red ward as well as my upgraded support item lol
But then theyd have to lower gold income for kills
