Why is locking a thing?

Last time I made one of these things ,everyone hated this opinion and hailed locking as the best thing since toilet paper or something anyways... I am back complaining about the locking feature in champion select... again

why this button sucks

requires all 10 people to lock to actually speed up champ select, this happens maybe twice out of 100 games
everyone hates autolockers
people are literally trying to report others for autolocking, even if that feature doesnt exist

so why does this button exist? this concerns me alot due to my stubborn attitude toward autolockers... I will duo anything with those mtherfkers and show them pain (not the best way to handle things I know ;/ )

No. Just no. First, you play blind pick, pretty much means you don't care if you win or lose. Which is fine, you don't have to win a bunch of games to have fun on league. Second here's how life works on the rift. Blind Pick Locked in means you got that role, pick as quickly as you can to get what you want. Chat doesn't load at the same speed for everyone and not everyone connects at the same time. You know what people actually hate? It's not autolockers, it's the whiny kids who spend the rest of champ select crying because you locked the role they wanted to play. If you aren't ok with this don't play blind. Team Builder Play what you want, every game. Don't be a douche and cycle through 5 different teams to find the one you like the best. Queue's are already really long. Draft/Ranked Pick order is decided by your place on the ladder, there is no need to type anything in chat unless you are playing something off meta or if you would like to request a lane feel free to add the word "please", like "mid pls" or "not adc pls", a role is not yours untill it's your turn to pick and no one else has locked that role. The trump card in ranked though is that some people are willing to waste 20 minutes of their life trolling you if they don't get their role like a little b!tch.

I will add you should have a "working" knowledge of ALL roles in any type pick so you can "cover" what is needed to help the "team" succeed.. just my 1/2 cent
