no she doesn't its happened to me before as well.

Once syndra hits 6, if she has sorc boots and a lost chapter then you are in kill range at around 70% of your health and you need to respect that. Her ult can't 100-0 you on its own unless it's a 7 sphere ult and even then she needs to have a good number of items and you need to not have any mr for that to happen.
