You can jungle with Rumble only with Rumble in the Jungle.
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT
I don't play Rumble, but it does excite me to see someone like him get buffs exclusively for the jungle. The viable jungling AP champion pool is incredibly small relative to the viable number of AD and tank junglers, and adding to the mix is very much welcome.
The biggest problem with taking Rumble in the jungle is that he has no item. Runeglaive is really bad on him, and Cinderhulk is really the only thing that makes sense on him even though it doesn't make perfect sense (although it does have synergy with some of his core items since, if I'm not mistaken, Rylai's and Liandry's are core items on him). Devourer might be an interesting option for him too for players that want to utilize a style of Rumble that plays around overheating, where you overheat as quickly as possible and abuse the passive on-hit effect that come from it. It might be a cool option, but might be too gimmicky to be really good.
And hes another decent Guinsoo/Gunblade pick, since he needs AAs a lot more in the jungle anyway
what tank junglers?
It's just a tooltip fix, it's already full damage on live
It's just a tooltip change tho @_@
It's actually just a fix since it's already full damage on live
Hm. Rumble would sort of rely on the laner to provide CC. At least Xin/Yi don't have a problem reaching their opponent.
Yeah his only way to reach his opponents is his ult which has very long cooldown early in the game.

He can always W and E.
He can always W and E.
The slow stack is nice, but only locks down immobile champs

Yi has no CC at all so your point is kinda invalid.
Yi has an instant gapcloser, though, and brings a lot more single target damage than Rumble does
Ahh but you see, Rumble brings a crapton of AOE and area control (once he gets his ult anyway). I think it would work fairly well, his early ganks would be lackluster but wouldn't be excessively bad as he does have some cc as people have mentioned.
Altogether I think he would work nicely
I'm not the one you need to convince, bro - I've seen Rumble in the Jungle work, and a long time ago at that - from his release, all the way to now. xD It's just that his pre-6 ganks are lackluster, and if he misses his E, there goes his kill potential - which is the main criticism. Yi can instantly close the gap and right click to apply Red Buff. And should he fail his gank, he can still farm Devourer in the jungle - Rumble, on the other hand, thrives off of gank kills. It might be easier to farm gold now that Q does 100% to monsters, though.
Yeah, the primary issue that Rumble has while jungling is his clear speed and the fact that he cant really farm the jungle all that well (largely because of flamespitter's built in handicap against monsters), so no that his flamespitter is going to deal full damage he should have a pretty decent clear speed and as such can farm the jungle if he is unable to gank.
Yi has no CC at all so your point is kinda invalid.
Yi does have a blink though
rumble has some NICE ult cc though, and he's more useful than yi in most teamfights because he doesn't lose his defenses if stunned

Yi has a gap closer, and a MS enchancer that ignores movement disablers. Your counter point is invalid.

Yi is immune to only slow during ult whatever movement disablers mean. What about a gap closer? He still has to get in range to use it and if he has to get in range to use it then Rumble can do the same when he uses W to get in range and use E to stack the slow. Let also ignore the fact all laners have some kind of CC in the first place.

His ult range is pretty decent you could definitely land some surprise ulti's if the enemy doesn't ward well.
You're right though Jungle Rumble wouldn't have great ganking potential, but his team fight potential is A+!
No jungle item for him.
Runeglaive would suck, and cinderhulk would be okay at best.
They should bring back magus
Kind of cool I guess, but what item would Rumble build for Jungle since he hates CDR?
Just because he can spam his spells on CD, doesn't mean he has too.
Well even before they removed Magus I would just upgrade to Chilling Smite and then rush Rylais. I wouldn't even finish Magus until I had one or two other items completed as well as tier two boots. I'd probably do the same thing now but I'd get Cinderhulk instead.
yeah, prolly cinder, synergizes with ryliandry's
It's only a tool tip fix, it's been working like that for quite some time. I'm still not losing my hopes to see some slight buffs for him.

Are you sure about this? Can anyone verify? He certainly seems to not do much damage in the jungle at the moment.
I can verify that, I've been doing those lvl 2 TP cheese strats back in season 5 and I can assure you that Flamespitter dealt full damage. It's just that you need to ramp up some heat before doing the camp for that sweet +50% damage
Just go in a custom, activate Q on monsters then on minions, check values
Well, glad RIOT's trying to do something for him cause he's a cool champ that has all but disappeared.
I've seen it done before even with the half damage to monsters and ganks are pretty effective from what I remember. Clear is slowwwww, but I think the new masteries helped him. This change makes me happy, (if it ofc makes it to live) as he is my one true dedicated top lane champion (I dont go top lane often) and I have always wanted him to play him in the jungle
It's just a tooltip fix, it's already full damage
It still deals half damage on PBE, just tool tip change.
The contrary. It already deals full damage on live.
Jungle rumble is not as bad as you would think. I played it a few times back even with the half damage and while his clears are bad. his level 6 ganks are pretty nasty. you can equalizer from bush and they basically have to flash or they die.
Jungle Rumble is a little below average at the moment. Now that he has full damage to monsters, I agree, he'll definitely see play in the jungle.
He actually already does full damage to monsters on live. It's just a tool tip change on PBE. You can try it in a custom game, he clears pretty damn well.
Rumble in the jungle op.
Do I hear devourer rumble? Dat double overheated auto doe.
That happy moment when you own Rumble in the Jungle
Just a tooltip fix. Already full damage on live.
Rumble
Flamespitter (Q) - [**TOOL TIP FIX**] Tooltip no longer mentions half damage to monsters #[NOTE: No functionality change here, same damage as on live.]
you always could jungle with him, it's only a tooltip change. He also was jungled in proplay a few times befor.
