Thanks Riot! (Legit, Thanks!)

I just wanna say "Thanks" to Riot Games for 2 things:

  1. Making Juggernauts finally viable, albeit maybe TOO strong (Skarner cough cough). I'm pretty happy that I can play Skarner (IF I can play Skarner, considering he'll be banned in nearly every game) without getting called a troll or teammates throwing because they didn't like my pick.
  2. Moving the servers to Chicago, IL. I live only a couple hours' drive from Chicago, so my ping is now down to an average of 20! 20!!! It was 70 in the old server location (Seattle, wasn't it?). That's such a massive improvement!

So, thanks again, Riot, you guys are awesome.

Kind of a one-sided point of view, but it's nice to see someone thanking Riot instead of slamming them for trying new things.

These people work their asses of for a free-to-play game and some people "disappointed" in them for buffing x champion instead of y champion? That's ungrateful if I've ever seen it.

Riot's made mistakes before (See Skarner), but every company has too (CoD: Ghosts, BF4's launch, etc etc). Why slam them for having what's probably the best game available on the market? It's even free-to-play, for crying out loud! Games like The Slaughtering Grounds have the balls to charge $10+ when LoL, Dota 2, SMITE, and Hearthstone are ALL FREE AND ALWAYS FREE.

Also, Riot's pretty innovative with their characters. Most of them have really unique mechanics that keep the game lively and refreshing. (albeit, not all are this way. Garen and Darius are really boring and stereotypical)

So I'm 2 hours from the chi and honestly I can't tell the difference between my previous 75 ping or the 24 ping I played with tonight I'm just curious what are some things to look for with the higher ping? unless it's flat out lag my gameplay never seems harmed by ping

Strange, it should feel much smoother. Even if it's a 50ms (milliseconds) difference, which is how much MY ping has improved by, that should really make your game feel that much more responsive and accurate. Skillshots should fire properly and reliably hit their targets (With a higher-than-average ping, it's entirely possible for your skillshots to actually pass through an enemy).
