About the current changes to Singed on the beta

For those of you who don't know, the change increases the tick rate of singed poison to 4x per second from 1x per second. (damage unchanged).

For most things, this doesn't matter so much.

It's a buff against most champions; you can't get shielded off cooldown the moment before the second tick to live with 5 hp, and should you choose to take thunderlords for some reason, you can proc it within 0.75 seconds by putting poison on your target. The exception to this is against Galio, who now gets 8 procs of his heal, but I can deal with that.

The main problem I have is when you have to farm in your lane. Proxying with the new ticking isn't a problem; nothing contests the farm anyways behind the enemy towers. However, if you are forced to do a standard lane phase, it is now much harder to farm. I currently rely largely on gassing low health minions and running away, so that I don't take too much damage from my enemy. Now, that works because of high damage ticks. Next patch, with the smaller tick sizes, last hitting with your poison will be harder.

Remember when Fiddle W ticked once a second? Yeah, dying between ticks of healing sucked, but the ability to tap W and cancel it to finish off a 100 HP enemy was good, and that decent tick damage let you lasthit in lanes with W (if you had mana for it, that is).

Ticking once per second is honestly fine.

I would disagree that Singed's poison needs to tick once per second if I didn't know how crucial that poison is to his farm. Honestly though, it's on Riot for designing him in such a shitty way. He's supposed to be a tank, but plays more like a Juggernaut. But he also has a shit time farming against a lot of matchups. And his ult is just a ball of stats with no good interactivity to it. Singed can be fun to play, and there are definitely high moments where I find myself laughing while doing so, but in all honesty, he is designed pretty fucking badly

Singed isn't really a juggernaut, He is his own category.

He is a champion purely based around absorbing map pressure.
