I'd say buy and large, were still going to have the gold necessary to do well. And the Ancient Coin like effect, will do wonders to insure everyone on the team has good gold, all of which is compounded by the fact that we will also have more minions.
I honestly wouldn't worry about things like FotM or FQC. (Though I will miss it a little bit) You'll have access to other powerful items. (Iron locket perhaps?) And you won't have to be worried about the sunk gold into building those items.
I mean, the only thing that really is a concern, is the fact that you can't eek out an advantage just by building those support items. (I'm guilty of this myself) But at the same time, it should free up your build options.
I'm with you man, I could harass all game with frost queens and have more gold then the TOP cser on my team... It created such interesting dynamics and now I have to compete for cs even as a support/tank.... such a lame choice.....
