Dear Riot Employee......Any Employee

I am writing to you today with a request, a simple request at that. I simply would like your input on where you see the League in a year or two. I want to know your thoughts on today's balance and how you plan to address such tragedy. This tragedy I speak of is Master Yi building one health item and becoming unkillable, Udyr running circle jerks around people with runic echos with the occasional pause to laugh at those trying to catch him, the same champs played over and over and over in your so called LCS and yet Riot screams "Massive Diversity Champion Pool". A mid season "Mage" update that I fear will ruin most champs that you touch. Tanks have been practically eliminated, Ezreals can stand under turrets and laugh at the so called "damage output". LCS games end with scores of 7-3 leaving people saying "Why did I just watch that 'Team avoid Team' match". The trolls and afkers run amuck making it seem like this is the worst season ever for these types of things even though you stand behind your "Leave it to Rito to fix it" while the Tribunal lay broken. So, as I stated, I am writing to you simply to ask.......what is your plan for the upcoming years to keep League its own distinct entity.

I am actually really hyped for the mage update. I haven't seen many of the things you speak of, so obviously I need to play more, but Udyr and Yi have always been ridiculous, and tanks are anything but dead.

I will say, if you are going to ask what Riot plans to do in the future, you should probably focus on where you want it to go, not all the problems with where you are. For instance, I want a world where I can build tank Xin Zhao and not be flamed at by my team for not killing everything in sight. Where I have to be better at Blitzcrank to murder people because they actually try to dodge. Where Yasuo can finally be the noble if tainted warrior he feels like instead of the statistic monstrosity he becomes after a few items. I want a league in which a character's dream unfolds, and is more important than how strong they are. Soraka the healer, Kayle the Angelic Guardian, Annie the child prodigy dark pyromage, Ashe frost archer of the freljord, Sejuani the Wild Warrior Queen, Xin Zhao the Guardian Assassin, Renekton the Raving Monster, Singed, the mad chemist, Swain the Master Tactician, Warwick the Shattered Manhunter, and the list goes on. Too often the story of league is eclipsed by the stats. I play games for fun, not just to win--though winning is extra fun--and I want the atmosphere of the game to reflect that. I think Riot has been doing an increasingly good job of this, and I would like to see it be the focus, not stats. I don't know why we complain so much about people like Kog'maw, who, broken as they are, fulfill their theme, when characters like Taric, Urgot, and Yorick can't even do that.

caus the problem of character such as Kog'maw is that they have 1 or 2 champions that can deal with them and if you pick any other champions you get completly destroeyd and you cannot outplay an opponent since hes playing an OP character... Riots worst decision for decades was this neww masteries system that brings up the massive unbalance. They even changed all the items to go that way instead of balancing. So on one side you ahve massive burst masteries with massiv AS/CRIT/AD items and even some with sustain and tankyness such as steraks (which shouldnt exists in this meta) and on the other side theres thornmail not dealing any sustain vs a kog maw that just sits for 5 seconds dealing 5k physical and 5k magical damages and even better he heals himself for 2k dmgs....

Theres a huge problem of balance its been over 3 months people are complaining about it and what is Riot doing? Absolutly nothing because LCS stats are now more important than making the 10 millions players enjoy a game where you arent force to go 1 champion into 1 build to be able to do something. I'ts been 3 months Riots hasnt made any moves? WHat are they actually doing? Preparing a Season 6.2 for summer where mages will destroy everything until next worlds it'll tank Juggernaut meta again... Thats riot's 2016 strategy. In summary, if you want diversity and balance, fuck you for 8 months a year

I should just requote this and add it to my initial statement. More opinions the better, so if by some miracle a riot employee does get bored and gives this a glance, maybe they can take a couple of ideas. I guess for me, I just get the feeling of "4 protect 1 strategy". I want to agree with you in terms of the tanks but it just seems mid to late game, damage will always exceed defense by a wide margin. Mundo does great because of the super crazy health regen that cant really be slowed or stopped but even late game you can watch his health just get chunked because of true damage or %HP damage. It just seemed like matches had more outcomes and types of situations than now

I see league as shitty Esports game with only one map left. I dont trust Riot anymore. I was thinking like hours long about what i felt about this game back in 2010 when i started playing. I thought this is gonna be great game, evolving into different dimensions - more maps, more modes, more of everything. But nothing really new came since TT rework. I feel like League of Legends is so much wasted potential. And i feel sad Im not a native english speaker, and cant really express what i feel about it. I was thinking about writing big post, but it will require a lot of time and spellchecking, and i just have so much problems with league right now - its like nothing really works the way i like or the way it should work. Im really confused about state of league.
