Her W requires her to generally be close to you, so you can actually deal with her. She can fire her Q like an orbital laser from space and kill you from extremely far away, more so if you're asleep. I say hitting her Q is going to be a helluva lot more impactful to curbing her raw damage than her W.

Her W shouldn't even exist, she's an Artillery mage, same as Xerath. Her W is a battlemage spell, which would fit more on someone like Mordekaiser. Just imagine if every single long ranged mage had a way to defend themselves in melee, it's just an anti-counterplay
