I need chests. Not keys.

I have about 6 keys and no chests. I have the ability to get them but they never actually drop. It makes no sense.

Ive had plenty of people get S on champions but I havent gotten a chest from it. The chest drop rate is BS

The chest drop rate is 100% if you or someone in your premade gets an S- or higher while you're using an eligible champ to get chests on.

I'm guessing that the 'people' who got S's weren't in a premade with you, or you already got a chest on whatever champion(s) you were playing at those times.

Sometimes a bad team can destroy your S rank. Yes, that is possible. Just like bad ranked team mates mean you can't win that round. Can't win them all. The amount of trolls this season increased. The trolls went on a huge increased after the Dynamic QQ went away on the forums.

There not going to destroy your rank; your actions are going too - I've gotten an S+ multiple times with every single person on my team going 4-12 but me. If your going for S's grab a hurricane and steal as much CS as possible anywhere; steal jungle camps ect. On top of that use anything you can do to get assists, pop a ward every single CD.

Once you figure out how the ranking system works it's insanely easy to abuse. I don't even play ADC and I was able to get an S for most of them just going top and score abusing. Takes a few games to get used too; but really easy to do - if your going for chests just ignore playing "Tactical" but go for score wise. Best thing to do is avoid saving people if you know your going to die; less deaths increase your chance.

I got multiple S ranks when it came out. Now there are too many people abusing the system of behavioral regulations.

Yes it is possible to destroy a support's rank. Do stupid plays like diving. Have them shield you and die for you. Come out without dying. Get four bots on your team. (Yes, it's possible) These bots will feed and you can't do anything about it. Support's do not steal CS. You are asking for something really stupid. You can't defend 3 lanes at once. Carry it to diamond? Yeah right.

It's not really stupid; I'm not telling you to win - I'm telling you it's possible to abuse the score even if you loose. Honestly, you can get a chest doing nothing but playing selfish; as long as you minimize your deaths - focus on stealing every single thing around you including other lanes stuff.. it will happen.

Secondly for support; if you play a mage it's really easy to do. I can average S every single game as Brand support (Due to his insane passive giving you free assists on anything - you can hit someone they die 40 seconds later and you'll still get an assist). Ill welcomely show you results if your doubting its abuseable.

Go play all the AP mage kill lanes support for free chests - or run an ADC top. Just try to stay in your lane as much as possible as support; as it measures your pathing - and your score will drop the second you bring your caster mid.

If his goals are chests? Then yes; if his goals are winning - no. Not hard to throw a few games to get your weekly chests then play seriously after... not morally right - just an easy solution.

Edit: It's the fact that your rewarded for going this route vs playing seriously; If someone promises you free stuff for throwing games? Are you not going to take it... That's what happens when you lock something behind score and not team work.

if you rent willing to put in time for what you want you dont nessicarily need all the rewards if you play play station games now a days platnium trophies are locked behind about 14 hours worth of gme play per game more if you dont do everything perfectly from the get go

I wouldn't do it in ranked. Most people don't care about normals, so they don't mind if you have a "Bad game" every once and awhile and just run around and have fun :).

40 mins to an hour wasted to get two things done or 20 mins - 40 mins to get thinks done. I'd rather go with the latter. My life doesn't revolve around this game.

people do mind that people mess up normal games and if people insist on messing up normal games because they dont care it makes it impossible for anyone to practice for ranked except by playing ranked which then becomes an oxymoron ranked is where you get ranked normals is where you pratice for ranked custom games is where you go to dick around

Since you've got a week to earn an S rank on someone new per chest, I don't find it's particularly hard to do solo. Even if you're not great on a champion, just as theres games where you're 'forced' to get a bad rank, theres also games where you are all but forced to get a good rank since the enemy team is filled with trolls, so you honestly can just spam a champ in normals for a week and eventually get an S rank. And if you happen to play in a premade with skilled friends, it's all the easier.

The way he worded things makes me think they're confused about the eligibility criteria though.

If theres someone on the enemy team constantly running into my lane and intentionally feeding me (i.e. a troll on the enemy team), I'm pretty likely to go like 20-0.

On it's own that won't guarantee an S of course, but in conjunction with my usual farming and objective taking (both made much easier by way of being super fed), I'd be pretty surprised if I didn't get an S.

It's weird because 99% of my games I have played solo. I have gotten chests when my team's mid lane Karthus got an S. Yes I didn't get one when a sion I was in a game with earlier got an S+.

I don't understand it. Why do they have to be premade? That's the stupidest thing since DQ.

Apparently riot wants to offer some incentive for people to premade (compared to the convenience of just queueing up immediately whenever) to overcome the fact people are sometimes in games or whatever and so premades need to spend a lot of time coordinating their play instead of jumping right in. It's not really a decision I agree with, but such as it is.

If you got a chest when someone not in your premade got an S, you most likely got an S rank as well yourself and may not have realised it.

i havent had a problem to get every single chest available since the release of the system as a solo player.

the grind for keys is much more anoying since that isnt actually tied to your performance. would be nice if they offered key fragments for 2k ip per piece in the shop.

i already have every single champion in the game and no runes that i still need.

buying the last 3 fragments per cycle would at least save me a significant grind.

I dont care much about champions. if you get champion shards, save them for mastery 6 + 7, and when they release them, 8, 9, and 10.

I'm just tired of seeing "you have earned a key fragment!" come up after games when I have no chests.

Guess I can't play the Hextech game as a solo support player.

I'm a solo support player and I've earned every chest possible thus far, currently leaving me with 3 extra chests I can't open. I do have 2 fragments so I'll be able to open at least one soon(tm), but a fresh chest unlocks for me tomorrow anyway so 'm probably always going to be lagging behind on keys.

pretty much got all the chests from the champs l like so unless they add a champ i like this year i think i am done for the year.

I don't want to throw games by playing champions that arent support as supports. I also don't wanna be forced to learn new champs.

Id rather not get reported 4 times for a chest.

There's a lot of viable support champs out there, I'm pretty sure I still have some left without dipping too far into off-meta land (although I do enjoy doing so in normals, so I have lots of chests earned in the support role on non-supports).

You can't be reported for picking off meta anyway. If people do report you for it, it'll just be ignored.

Still, part of the system is to encourage you to try new champs, so if you only play a handful of champs with no desire to expand, then you'll earn chests for that handful and basically be done with crafting, and basically be playing the game as it was a year ago in terms of rewards.

Chests are dropped for getting an S on a champion you've not yet gotten an S for this season. If you're not getting chests dropped, then you're not playing eligible champions. Plain and simple.

You can get keys by playing your main/champions you play well.

You can only get chests by playing with premades or by playing new champs.
