I honestly feel like they haven't because

Q- 100 mana W- 120 mana E- 85 mana R- 26 mana plus 7 mana per second.

I don't know about you guys but that is some incredibly high mana costs for a champion who is supposed to be a tanky sustained fighter mage.

How are you supposed to sustain a fight when 2 of your spells have ultimate level mana costs and your ultimate has some of the most insane mana cost upkeep in the game. Unless Swain turned into an ADC when i wasn't looking that should probably be rectified.

Passive: Whenever Swain kills an enemy unit, he regains 9 + (1 × Swain's level) mana. On a champion kill or assist, he regains an additional 9% of his maximum mana.

So at max level with say 1500 mana thats only around 300 mana which is enough for 2 more spells and 1 E my math is probably wrong but you will blow way past that in any decent fight.

Here's a tip: Use your passive for mana sustain. Don't build mana regen, build mana. RoA is core on him. Frozen heart is not bad if you need more. Tear is OK, but overrated.

Because unless you spam and are bad at last hitting you won't run oom due to passive. Mana gating him keeps him from dominating, he is cancer top lane (I know, I play him top a lot) and if he gets a head he can 1v3 and survive. The only mana re-gen item you should have is Athene's unholy grail due to 30% mana from kill and assist and that's a late game item. You should be building items like RoA on him anyway for the flat mana as he does better with more mana. All in all i'm happy with where he is at now, any more buffs to him will push him into full on OP mode and the nerfs he will receive will probably destroy him.

I don't think you should talk about Swain, ever. People are under the impression that this guy is "sleeper OP" if not actually OP, and one tiny bit of exposure is going to put the spotlight on him, and inevitably the nerfbat.

One of the few champs who gets even more benefit from last hitting. If only they made his banana easier to last hit with, but that's my bad mechanics.

Shhhhhhhh.

Swain is one of the strongest champs in the game right now. He is underplayed and I don't want him to become FOTM like Hecarim JarvanIV Sejuani did. Ruins it for all the dedicated mains who stuck it out with their underplayed champs and spent time learning their intricacies instead of hopping on the FOTM train.
