Pyke looks amazing but....

I can tell Pyke is going to be one of my favourite champions just off his badass look and fun looking abilities, but his kit has drawn one major concern for me.....

I have a feeling he is going to fall into the same pitfall as Kai'sa, Ornn and even Ivern in a way.

What do all those champions have in common? Well their release was....subpar, not super great, which lead to them all getting buffed for a few patches in a row right after release (Or once in Kai'sa's case). This caused them all to be extremely strong until being nerfed into the ground (Again, while Kai'sa hasn't been completely gutted and still remains fairly strong, she did end up needed some nerfs) leaveing them in a weak state that they have yet to recover from (Once more, Kai'sa is still fairly strong, my point is she needed to be looked at after being overbuffed)

Why does this tie into Pyke?

Well I can tell there is going to be some skill requirement to playing Pyke (Mainly with his Q and combo's) which may put him in a seemingly weak state on release.

But I beg Riot, even if he SEEMS weak DO NOT BUFF HIM, give people time to adjust and learn him before looking into potential changes, those three champions I mentioned earlier had little to no time to be learned by players before they were buffed, making them powerhouses, I don't want this to be the fate of Pyke.

Unless his release is blatently too strong (Flashbacks to release Camille), then he shouldn't be changed for a patch or two to give time for players to adjust.

I know threads like this have been made for other champions when they got release, I just hope that if we all chime in, that Pyke may be able to avoid this fate.

The idea of a new champion being strong or over buffed isn't exactly new. It's their big spotlight. Of course, riot wants more people than usual to play them. That's just business.

That aside, none of the champions you listed are in a terrible place and your Kai'sa example paints her as balanced... sooo whats the problem?
