Is it me or is Lee Sin rather bad in the current meta?
Yeah, the dude could do cool tricks, but if you really come down to it that would appear to be the only thing he's good at. And even then, his tricks have been severely gimped by the ward nerfs, rightfully so at least for him because of how obnoxious his infinite mobility was even if the ward nerf itself was unhealthy to game as a whole but that's for later, and the result is that Lee Sin is pretty much good at nothing.
His late game is not impressive due to his style of "picking" being at odds with the nature of late game, this is especially the case with how much emphasis on team-stack deathball there is in the current meta.
What about his early game? He should still be strong in early amiright? Well, at level 3 I got out-checked by a 0 item (only the machete) jungle Yi faster than I could even scratch his hide (which was completely bullshit). Not to mention, with how cancerous the champ designs are these days, it becomes increasingly harder to gank pretty much any lane, especially that Lee has no methods of outright locking down his opponent and his old issue of bursting someone out of the water seems to be completely unrelateable to his current self. And Lee's so-so clearing is also not helping his case. It just seems that Lee's early presence is also minimal.
Sure, as the so-called "ultimate" generalist, he should never be good at anything as per the theme of jack-of-all-trades. Very understandable. But, I don't think that should equate to him simply being useless more or less all fronts.
Sure, people still play Lee quite a lot it would appear, at least judging from the stats because I hardly see any Lee on my end for some reason. But I just feel that atm Lee is just super bad.
Or am I just doing it wrong?
makes him not only mobile as hell, but also surprisingly tanky whilst still dishing out decent, Assassin levels of damage.
