Why do you ban Morgana?

Yet another day where I can't play my one trick. Sigh.

What do you find most annoying or frustrating about her?
Do you believe she has any counter play?
What champions do you play when you ban her, and how do you think she makes your life difficult?
Have you personally played Morgana or spent any serious time learning the champion?

I don't mean this to flame. I'm honestly just curious to see what people say. Keep in mind saying something like, "Lulz she too OP and busted" isn't really a good answer. Although I'm sure some people will just copy and paste that lol.

I'm even willing to 1v1 anyone interested in learning how to play against Morgana. Tell me a lane and a champion and we'll do a custom. It might even be fun!

She has the best peel in the game and you cant counter it. Her black shield. If the enemy doesnt do ap damage, then no matter how many stuns, slows and cc they throw at it, none of them stick.

So I ban morgana when I play supports that rely on cc, like leona

She shuts down a huge number of champions, especially support just from her E and her Q is almost a guaranteed kill in lane, especially when partnered with an aggressive ADC.

simply when i play any sort of CC heavy support (namely Blitzcrank Leona and most importantly Pyke because the slowest of the slowest players who have 500 ping can react to his CC)

I don't think she's ban worthy in my low elo games. Half of the Morganas I play against don't know how to hold Q and she can only CC immune one person. As her root does not prevent an ADC from auto attacking, being hit by Q does not suddenly mean the ADC can't fight off the other ADC. She can be good to lock someone down during a gank, but ganks are so poorly coordinated that her potential is often wasted. I'm always surprised to see her banned, because she needs so much more help to be effective than other ban options.

Then again, I play Leona and Morgana more frequently than any other champs. Being so familiar with their weaknesses makes it difficult for me to understand why they would ever be banned.

Hard-counters almost every other support due to her ability to completely negate CC, which any good Morg will time almost flawlessly.

Hell, she's even annoying mid for mages.

because we're picking alistar, blitz, thresh, pyke, or any other support that can easily be cock blocked by anyone with fingers and decent ping

The problem is twofold, I think: first, her popularity spiked when she got that VU, so she's probably being played by inexpert Morg players who just want to see the new stuff and hear her spam the same few lines over and over again. Second, facing Morg in mid is a totally uninteractive lane that people might want to avoid.

1 root= death. I played Jayce adc a while back with a morg support. everytime she stunned them it was a free kill. it's not that hard to dodge, but it will hit at least once and you'll die because of it. it's absolute cancer.

I ban her for her early game potential outside, and I dont wanna deal with a bot lead.

Even more so i ban her for her black shield cause it stops all the interaction my kit has with a player (when I'm on my Galio only account)

Just a champion that is ok-strong depending on match ups but always annoying to play against.

A shield that shuts down all CC and requires Magic Damage to break.
The 9 year root that if caught, more than likely means death
Nobody likes dealing with 1 or 2 if they are CC orientated supports that utilize CC to win lane.
Facing Morgana mid is dull and boring... Press W, WIN LANE WOOOO << >>, also the first reason.
Comparing shields skills and item shields that take 1 attack vs a shield that takes **several ** attacks to break is laughable. At least if I break any of the former shields I can go in almost immediately afterwards should the opportunity presents itself whereas I have to not only watch for Black Shield, but Q+W Combo as well.

Last but not least..

I don't like her in my games, period, the end. Get over it.

she shuts down my braum and if the morgana is good i cant stun the adc then morgana has the freaking stop watch its just too much

Her root is like 10 weeks and it’s really not hard to hit AND she has a skill the blocks cc like what if u don’t do magic damage and if she hits that root you gonna die so annoying op stupid and yes I played her before and crapped on people first try but I was in low elo as I was using a different newer account also i play braum so do you have any tips on beating a morgana with braum
