So I misclicked in ranked, and ended up playing a round of support Urgot.
...it was better than it has any right to be.
He's innately tanky with his W, so he doesn't need a lot of income to be tanky.
His Q poke in lane gives him alright lane pressure, while the threat of Urgot's all-in damage is ever present.
His passive's % HP damage and his R's execute don't rely on having AD, so your damage is pretty good even if you're building full tank.
His W's rapid fire lets him clear wards faster than any other support; slap an
on that and you have incredible vision control. I was able to rack up 109 vision score in a 36 minute game.
You have pretty good CC. Q is an AOE slow, E is a stun and displacement, R is a combined slow, suppress, and AOE Fear.
Fear Beyond Death in a siege comp is just insane; you effectively reduce the HP of the poor sap caught out by your mid laner by 25%. If they try to engage in an effort to save their mid, they probably won't be able to (since you're building full tank) and they'll get feared for their efforts.
I'm aware that one game does not a sample make, but this just feels good. I was a proponent of support Urgot before the rework. Now, I am again.
support, and was thinking that maybe
was the champion to support due to his innate tankyness and engage potential. However, maybe you and I could play a game of duo lane bot.
does not stop his W. Also
on urgot has some freaking weird interactions where it will fire in 3 different directions... and the bolts trigger leg cannons. (and they seem to do same amount of damage as the W per shot as well.)
makes most adcs better and is full of stats that make crabgod happy.
