Trinity force procs on hit or AA?

So i was playing a game just now and the enemy fiora did 1k damage to me with he Q i questioned it because 500-600 i could understand but 1k+ i didn't get it. so i asked how and they all said tri force i argued that tri force does not proc on that since its not an Enhanced AA but they were insisting that it is proc on hit. i have read the tooltip on tri force over and over and it clearly states On basic attack. and i know what you are all going to say you can AA really fast right after using Q but that doesn't contribute to the Q, thats it's own auto attack so it wouldnt count as Q damage.

Soooo whats the deal with this is it proc on hit or proc on basic attack like the tooltip says?

it procs with on hit abilities like Gangplank's and Ezreal's Qs

On hit abilities are consider basic attacks. This is why jax dodges them.

Abilities that "add X damage to your next auto attack" or that apply on-hit effects will also proc Spellblade with the same attack. As an example, Irelia's Q will instantly apply Spellblade damage if the cast procs it.

I didn't think that it would proc on Fiora's Q (Lunge), though, since it does not apply on-hit effects. If you're looking at the death recap, it's... not always accurate. It's also possible this is some poorly-documented special case.

Abilities that apply ON-HIT EFFECTS apply effects that trigger WHEN YOU HIT WITH A BASIC ATTACK. Sort of the definition.

That being said, Fiora's Q doesn't apply on-hit effects, the AA that immediately follows it up, however, does, as her AA windup is incredibly brief.

Her Q doesn't proc on-hit, but it has a fairly low cd if maxed. It is possible that she used it twice(well, 4times that is) on you in that fight, which adds up in the death recap. Also. it's death racap, there isn't anything more buggy around than that shit anyway...
