Alistar counters?

I'll be honest, I'm at a serious loss when playing against Alistar . This guy has loads of sustain and tank stats (so he can walk far front from the ADC without taking lasting damage), any poke just gets moo'd and healed, and when jungle comes he has blitz-level of making the gank work with his long range displacement. Oh, and how about the ult that let's him tank multiple tower shots almost for free.

But that's fine. Every champ has his cons. The problem I have is - I don't see much counterpick/counterplay when it comes to the big cow.

For example, http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/support-top-mid-the-encyclopedia-of-cow-s6-361331

Morgana is listed as counterpick. Sure, she blocks Ali's abilities pre-6. If she times BS well, which is actually not that easy. The problem is, lategame, as a superb tank who can dive towers 24/7, frontline any poke and flash initiate sometimes I find him outscaling Morg greatly.

Annie, Bard, Karma, Zyra picks are literally the same without even the safety net of the black shield. It's literally trying to wear down his infinite hp/sustain and praying to god no one comes bot. Nami/Sona can keep up in terms the sustain, but have nowhere near enough gank help or lategame impact.

So let';s cut to the chase - what is your counter to Alistar? Maybe there's something I haven't thought of? On paper, it seems that new Poppy could contest him, is that true from your experience? Maybe there is some really good counter I have not thought of? Please help.

Ali is king right now, especially since you can queue up his Pulverize mid Headbutt. Poppy is a pretty good counter during laning in that she can pretty easily and consistently block his all-in. Mid to late game though Ali can reliably interrupt her ult and still has all of the strong points you mention.

morg technically craps on ali still, her black shield renders her immune to his abilities, or an ally immune.

Ali will get crapped on by bruisers as ali himself doesn't put out a lot of damage outside of building him AP, and then building him ap renders him very un-tanky and burstable. if ap ali ults, just CC him until it wears off and he's borderline gone.

also remember that ali is quite reliant on offensive flashes to combo. a lot of people lose to ali because they don't respect the fact that he can displace the crap out of you.

Honestly, you shut down his early game and hes just a suicide CC come mid/end game.

Nautilus can beat him, Janna, thresh if they are good, and Nami does okay as well. I feel like the supports are all in pretty good spots right now compared to one another.
