Joining the Nunu Support Smite Bandwagon

Please beat on something that ACTUALLY is a problem in this meta, Riot.
Nunu Smite Support is toxic?
How?
We played on bot side, and we casually did red buff and golems. Our lane was heavily zoned out by their Zyra, and we created a Plan B by getting our gold elsewhere when minions weren't present at our turrets. I got the Jungle ward item which is SO much more convenient on Nunu than building a Sightstone, and I warded more than their Zyra did apparently.
Before you bash on a playstyle, bash on a player. As a frequent Nunu player, statements like "Playing semi-jungler on Nunu is toxic and BAD, AND you steal your jungler's role!" are the REAL problem we have in this community.
Nunu has a 99% safe drake and baron because he deals more burst damage on jungle creeps than every other champion in this game. An immediate 1600 damage from Consume + Smite isn't toxic, it's genius. Do you know how much pressure you put on getting drakes by turning drake into a global permabuff? Nunu finally feels like he has a spot in this meta as a counterjungler regardless of his queued up role, and you're just oppressing the guy that frequently does it because it doesn't suit your support criteria?

It's not like this would be better if it was midlane Nunu with smite, but there's an extra 'Really?' attached to the whole thing because you're actually suppressing a Support, a DYING race because you're dumbing it down to pure itemization instead of actual champion abilities that define a Support.
Being able to give your ADC a powerful leash in your own jungle while simultaneously denying the enemy jungler their camps is not toxic. It helps keep him on low gold and level on cost of not being on your lane for a minute. If it's such an issue for an ADC to swallow their pride and let that one minion wave go to waste so they can sit under their turret while Nunu is doing the entire team a favor, then maybe it's time that you turn the cards around and call the ADC toxic instead.
My game of playing Nunu was full of NOTHING but compliments from my ADC, by the way. Free red buff? Sweet. Oh, smashing some stones while we're both on low health and about to go back anyway? Count me in on that. Jungler not there to secure the drake? Nunu's got it with his double smite.
To go back on my earlier statement: Ban people for what they do, not for what they play, okay? I've seen so many fucking Zyras go 5/0 in lane not by ACCIDENT, but because they intentionally use ignite to steal kills from their ADC. THAT is toxic, THAT is enforcing a negative, egoistic attitude. How about banning THESE people - or is banning one off-meta guy easier than banning a wave of Full AP Supports that refuse to build Sightstone AND steal all the kills?
