Loss Prevention for S Rank

It's a pretty simple idea, at least in my mind. Nothing feels worse to me than getting out of a solo queue game and seeing that "you or a teammate earned an S rank" message pop up after a loss.

Riot is basically saying to the player: "Hey! We know this loss wasn't your fault. You played better than X% of X Champion's players, but we're taking your LP anyway because your team decided to go for baron while the enemy was literally at your nexus.

I was actually demoted back down to Bronze 5 on a game where I played Karma support and received an S- champion mastery rating. It's no problem for me to climb back up on a day when I'm not tilting, but it would be wonderful--not only for my own mental satisfaction, but for the anti-tilt it would provide if earning an S-, S, or S+ netted you a ranked loss prevention.

At most you could possibly asked for reduced LP loss but completely negating the match may be pushing it although it may help reduce rage in ranked lol.

It would be great if we had a system in place that actually took individual performance into account for LP gain/loss, but the grading system is in no way accurate enough for that.

people that post things like this have no idea how an elo system works. It is a zero sum system and if you have a game with 5 winners and only 4 losers you create drift unless you give the 4 losers 1.25 losses each and that seems harsh. If you allow more elo to be awarded than lost each match eventually everyone will climb arbitrarily high.

Janna and soraka mains would get a one way ticket to challenger. The grading system makes it easy for passive supports to get an S.

That's an EXTREMELY biased poll you have there. You either support the idea entirely, or disagree because of your rank. That's, ungood. To the idea itself, no. Passive players would be thrown up to at least Plat in a week.
