Is Cooldown reduction too strong?

maybe it's jsut me, but it seems that right now Cooldown Reduction is the way to go for whatever champ you are using. There are some exceptions but overall with the new items and masteries you'd want to buy CDR virtually always.

But isn't it TOO MUCH? you can et up to 45% CDR with the mastery, and that's a lot. Maybe the games are getting so fast paced also because of this, i literally see everyone buy CDR no matter what, tanks, assassins, mage adc, support, everyone wants it. Everyone throw an ulti every few seconds nowdays.

So maybe it's jsut too strong

The issue is that you would have to sacrifice damage to have cdr. That's why i only do cdr on champs like Bard or ones that have a naturally high cd on their abilities.

On certain characters, CDR can be strong (hence why I run the boots on every one of my vlad/sion sets). For things that rely on energy though (kennen/shen), CDR is often not needed as you'll blow through your entire set in like 3-4 seconds and be unable to really do much after that, making them sorta useless in extended teamfights.

Well there are things like runes and blue buff which can boost energy regeneration to better optimize CDR on energy champions.

You see it everywhere because it's now on every item.
