Kalista's passive is not op

I mean lets all calm down for a minute and think about it. Kalista plays in a very similar way to ashe. They both are excessively good at kiting but if you get to them they die. So if just being able to kite is a problem why is ashe not a problem? The answer is because the rest of the kit is quite different. In regards to her passive her base atk speed and atk speed/lvl is to high. It allows her to itemize damage and can potentially let her move around too much. or we could take issue with the really high 20% burst on her w that makes her a lane bully but because her e and q scale so well she has a good time in the late game. However complaining about the passive is kind of silly and won't really make her much better to play against.

Why exactly would that be a problem? They both are sold as kiting queen's

No, Kalista is currently sold as a broken mess that deserves massive nerfs.

Kalista has Ashe's Q combined with Twitch's E. Either one alone is fine, combined and you get the Singed chasing penalty. Do we chase Singed? No. Why? Because his kit denies chasing. Is he OP if we chase him... yes... how do we resolve this in-game? Don't chase him. Same with Kalista, if you chase her you WILL be penalized for it. Want to nullify her kiting OPness? Don't chase her, hard engages ftw.

Hard to do with Riot changing all guaranteed hard cc to skillshots and with her passive making skillshots literally worthless (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3ZauUGqips , I mean it is a xerath ult but still highlights the point) And if you cant lock her down, you can't get to the enemy team's biggest damage dealer.

Except Kalista doesn't die because she has a Graves/Lucian dash as her auto attack kite. Ashe doesn't have that. She has to move a unit, then attack, move a unit, attack. Kalista: Attackl, dash over wall, attack, dash over wall.

Play the champion more before you start judging what's broken or not.

Kalista has silly amounts of mobility that no champion in the game should ever have access to. People joke about how insanely mobile Lee Sin is, but Kalista is just significantly more mobile. It's not all about kiting, since Ashe's ability to kite is with a small slow on her basic attacks, and not a full dash (there is quite a large difference here, and I feel that are dismissing this fact). Think about it really, Ashe does not dodge abilities with her auto-attacks or get over walls, she applies a slow at the cost of mana. She has a low base movement speed, so her ability to kite other champions is limited, and she has a low amount of damage. Kalista, on the other hand, is able to dance around champions without a gapcloser, has her rend which allows her to deal quite high amounts of damage (and resets on killing a player on minion. wat) and is able to kite indefinitely with no cost. If Ashe was considered to be overpowered or "in meta", then the game would most likely be quite miserable for a lot of players. Hence why she isn't currently considered a strong pick (Unlike the Ashe and Zyra lanes).
