[ Champion Rework ] Janna the Wind's Compassion

Janna has been getting a lot of hate recently,tho it's not with out reason. She seems to deal a lot of damage wit certain set ups and is a strong counter to nearly any melee champion who has to rely on one single gap-closer.

What should Janna's identity be? She should still stay the queen of peel in LoL, but there are a lot of healthier way to keep that aspect.

Base Movement speed: 320---> 325 Passive TailWind ( REWORKED ) Janna gains gains an additional 10/15/20 % of her total movement speed.

_Q _ Howling Gale ( UNCHANGED )

W** Embodiment of the Wind ** ( NEW ) Passive: Janna deals an additional 5/10/15 % of movement speed as magic damage on hit.

_Active: _ After a 0.25 delay Janna's turns into air ,becoming untargetable and able to by pass terrain ,but losing her TailWind bonus movement speed and unable to cast her Q or E . During the duration all allies moving towards her have their movement speed increased by 15% of her total movement speed. Can be activated early to cancel it's effect. CD 24 seconds Mana cost: 80 mana Duration; 2/2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds MS-buff Aura: 1150

E _Eye of the Storm / Zephyr's Fury _ ( REWORKED ) Send her little birdy _Zephyr _ to either buff her ally or harm her enemy.

_Cast on ally: _ Janna sends Zephyr to shield targeted ally or herself granting them bonus attack damage while the shield lasts. Still castable on turrets. Shield Strength: 70/105/140/175/210 (+70% AP ) ----- > 80/110/140/170/200(+75% AP) Duration: Down from 5 seconds to 4 seconds Bonus AD: 10/17.5/25/32.5/40 **NOTE: ** As Janna send Zephyr , it has a small travel time/delay depending on the distance of the targeted ally from Janna.

_Cast on enemy _ : Janna send _Zephyr _ to a targeted enemy champion, dealing magic damage and slowing them for 2 seconds. New effect: The base slow is doubled when the enemy is moving towards your allies. Magic damage: 60/115/170/225/280 (+50% AP) ---> 70/115/150/190/235(+ 60%AP) Slow: _24/28/32/36/40%(+6% per 100 AP) _ ---- > 14/17/20/23/26%(+5% per 100 AP )

Range: 550 CD: 18 seonds Mana cost: 60/70/80/90/100

_ Ultimate_ **Monsoon ** ( CHANGED ) Janna knocks back all nearby enemy units up to 875 proximity based on their distance to her, stunning them for 0.5 seconds ( unchanged) ,after the delay she begins to channel for 3 seconds, releasing soothing winds that heal allies every half second while channeling, the heal increases for each additional second she channels ( total heal unchanged ). Moving cancel the channel. Heal per half second: 50/75/100 (+25% AP) CD: 150/135/110 Mana cost: 100 Range: 725

_NEW EFFECT: _ Janna can cast ˝Monsoon˝ while using using _˝Embodiment of the Wind˝ _ , losing the knock back for increased healing and being able to move without interrupting her W and R . Healing scaling increased from 25% AP to 30% while using ˝Embodiment of the Wind˝ .

The only way this is even thinkable as a rework is if Q becomes a 40% slow instead of a knockup.

Have you used a calculator? At level 1 her base MS + passive puts her at 357.5 MS. mid-late game with Mobility boots will put her at a constant 500 movespeed. I don't mind you trying to improve her but please use math before using just any numbers.

Okay, I'm back as promised!

So, I really think you're into the idea that Janna is the Queen Of Peel, and I wanted to give her a new tool to help express skill, give her new combos, and give her power that much more satisfying.


Passive: New

Ethereal Gust-

At the end of each spell Janna casts, a localized burst of wind briefly knocks back enemy units away from the center. 45-20 second cooldown. (Based on level)

The burst is half the radius of her ult, and isn't a full kickback. (Think slightly stronger than Maokai's Bramble Smash.) It's more for added disruption rather than catching. (Though there are chances to still use it as such.)

Here's what that means for each spell.

Q- Howling Gale -At end of it's range it will create the burst. -Can control where that is based on how long you charge it. (Controls distance and thus placement of the knockback.) -Great for breaking up clumps of enemies.

W- Zephyr -Around the target it hits. -Doesn't effect the actual target, and the slow is usually enough of a catch out. -Better for a quick way to push a beefy support out of the way from your actual target, giving your teammates a clear shot.

E- Eye Of The Storm -At the end of the shield duration or when the shield breaks. -Particularly great for peel, as those that want to jump on your ally will have to time there abilities to avoid the gust, otherwise they'll ruin they're combo. -Probably funny to watch a tank initiate and when the shield pops, adds an extra layer to the wombo combo.

R- Monsoon -At the end of the channel, but only if channeled for the full duration. (Stops you from getting a free double knockback.) -Double the radius, so that it feels like you really get use out of the passive. Still only a slight disrupt. -Combos great if you use your passive with another ability to knock someone towards you, then bounce then further with a timely Monsoon.


Obviously, this adds a whole nother layer of cc to get already utility based kit. Because if this, some things just have to go.

-Her old passive is gone, so teammates no longer move faster towards her. -Her bonus magic damage on basic attack could be moved to her E passive, but the damage lowered. -Bonus movement speed from E gone. -Base movement speed increased a bit to help with the movement feel. -The AP ratio on Eye Of The Storm would have to be lowered a bit, because it'll also act as a double peel ability when the new suggested passive is ready.

don't see how this solves anything other than "you cannot shield and damage the opponent so now you are just worst Lulu in every single way so there is no reason at all to pick you"

Not sure how to say this, but you effectively made her far safer to play, without taking any of her utility away.

When you say untargetable do you mean like akali's shround, zed or kayn's r or like camille and kled. What't I'm asking is if she still takes dmg by AoE and DoT spells and if she can still get hit by skillshots. Because if she does it changes a lot.
