My last hitting is awful

I started playing at the end of S3 and even before I knew about the meta I was attracted to the ranged autoattacking champs, so as I learned the roles I considered myself an ADC main.

It's pretty clear that the thing which holds me back is my appalling CS; I play with golds sometimes and they are shocked at the brilliant plays/combos I pull off but at the same time, I really do struggle to last hit under pressure.

I was thinking, would it play to my strengths to play jungle more since it's not as last hit intensive and I am actually very able to pull off nice steals of buffs and baron/drake using either my abilities or smite? I quite like playing supp too actually, but I do enjoy the thrill of sneak attacks, using my combos to kill a pushed lane.

Play whatever you enjoy. If you like jungle, play jungle. If you like ADC, play ADC.

I suck at last hits too, especially on ranged champs. When I find myself playing ADC or something, I tend to walk up to the creep before I hit it, because that's just how I'm used to doing things.

aweful - "inspiring reverential wonder or fear"

If you cannot last hit, then you will have a great deal of trouble stealing buffs, drake, and baron. You can take up jungle or support if you feel you can play better and carry in those roles.

I don't know if you have looked up a solution to your problem, but I would advice vs AI and custom games to improve your CS. Generally early game you should not focus too much on the enemy. A very good champion for this is Nasus. He will FORCE you to last hit properly to make his Q ability stronger.

Also, know how much damage you do and left click a minion to see how much health it has. When it is below the amount of damage you deal, you can attack.

There isn't really a way to master CSing other than practice. Turn off all of your masteries and practice in a custom game and see how much damage you do to a minion to know at what HP value you should hit them for the gold.

I played almost exclusively jungle and support until I got decent at last hittting. As long as you have good map awareness and know when to engage you can succeed at those roles.

The other option is practice CSing in custom games until it becomes second nature.

My brother's the same exact way. He's a brilliant player (most of the time) but he can't farm for shit and everyone always gives him shit about it. When we're playing together he's always like "teach me how to farm" even though I'm always trying to improve my CSing techniques as well. His main problem is that he's always looking for a kill so he gets a little impatient when it comes to farming
