One thing I really hate about this community

When someone is obviously trolling and being toxic on the enemy team and purposely losing, but they refuse to report because he's not on their team and helped them win.

Like, seriously... You are a complete jerk of a human being and almost as bad as him for not reporting that player, laughing with him and honoring him... disgusting community.

I see this too much when I play, I wish people could put themselves in other people's shoes because they would of unquestionably reported that player if he was on their team.

1 report = 9 reports. Just report him yourself.

Asking for reports is generally considered harrasment by the community. One report, if valid, will be enough for the system to pick it up for future reviews. Multiple reports don't get someone punished faster or harsher.

Even if that's true, they are still sht human beings for honoring him and taking his side.

I do agree with that but once you realize what I said is true it won't matter that much. Here you can find all the information on the report system and common misconceptions. It's a bit dated but it still stands.

Nameless Voice2 votes

I still wish Riot would feature this information prominently all over the game client.

It's really important, and yet somehow no one seems to understand it.

"reviews" bitch no human ever looks at anything on here its all automated and no one at riot could give less of a fuck who gets banned

One thing I really hate about this community:

People don't understand how the report system works in this game. All it takes to get a game flagged is 1 valid report per game. Getting several people to report the same person does nothing. In fact, lobbying the enemy team to report someone on your team is considered harassment and is, itself, reportable.

Unreformed Shaco2 votes

cause riot are cucks

I still dont believe that "1 report = 9 reports" thing lol.

The Ecdysiast5 votes

It's true though. He just explained it for you.

It doesn't matter how many reports you get. It's simply whether or not you were reported for a particular game. Then, punishment only ensues if it continues over multiple games. They don't give a shit if you were toxic in one match and the entire team reported you. That's one toxic match. Ya need 9 more matches to get chat restricted.

SeaGodUrronuos2 votes

no you don't, I had 3 bad games and got banned then two bad games and a game where people reported me for nothing

Penns1 votes

He "explained it to me", but he didnt make the system or the algorithm, did he? I dont believe it because pretty much every time I get that message saying "someone you reported got punished" or even if I get chat restricted or something, its after a game where everyone spammed "report x" in all chat and everyone agreed for some reason.

So yeah, I think it does depend on how many ("valid") reports there were.. sue me Kappa

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

The beautiful thing about facts is they are true whether you believe it or not.

Penns1 votes

And why is it a "fact"? Did Rito show you the algorithm?

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

It is a fact (no quotation marks) because it is testable and provable. That has nothing to do with what one person says about it or not.

That's league for you, terrible community. Probably the worst community in all of gaming.

I don't know, I've actually never been told to kill myself while playing League. In my very first game of Dota 2, way back before they added bots and even tutorials, I was told to kill myself and uninstall because I didn't know every single thing about Dota 2 when I had installed the game literally 10 minutes ago. And while I don't play it, I've seen enough of the CS:GO community through streams to declare that they're contesting the number 1 spot as well. Never seen as many racists/sexists/homophobes on mic anywhere else.

Unreformed Shaco1 votes

Thats cause League is relatively tame, so Riot "Fuckface" Lyte and his ban of witch hunting little snitch Rioters had to find a new public enemy to fight, else their job would be redundant.

They started calling everything toxic so they could push their agenda to replace the tribunal with a robot that follows every point in the summoners code to the T, ignoring context and mass punishing.

I'd like to call some evidence to the spotlight, Example A.Malzahar rework, Example B. CertainlyT employement contract ... Riot clearly don't like to admit their mistakes and cut their losses, so we can't expect the Instant failure system to disappear anytime soon.

Leetri2 votes

You sure live up to your name.

Unreformed Shaco1 votes

Changing the definition of toxic and mass banning does not make a community toxic.

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

I don't know, I've actually never been told to kill myself while playing League.

Really? About 8 months ago i went through 6 solid weeks where 9 out of 10 games had someone telling someone else to kill themselves. Still see it way more frequently than should ever be acceptable.

Unreformed Shaco1 votes

cause strangers who will never meet eachother telling them to kys is such a problem.

I really just can't understand how people get upset by it?

drakuIa4212 votes

i dont get upset over strangers talking bad words to me on the internet. i do, however, report them so i wont have to play a game with them again, because all they do is flame.

Unreformed Shaco1 votes

Reporting won't prevent you from playing with them again.

lol thats because we dont have a mic, do recall once though when my account got hacked the dude used some pretty bad racial remarks and got me chat banned before riot got him off my account

clearly you've never played Super Smash Bros Melee, my friend.

Most of the people who play league are probably only playing league.

They'll call themselves gamers and comment on other game communities, but they fail to realize that league is just one step up from farmville.

This isn't a community problem, this is a humanity problem...especially when it involves the millenial generation. Nobody gives a sh!t until it affects them personally.

Millenial has nothing to do with it. If you'd worked retail at any point of your life, you would be well aware that toxic behavior is not discriminated by age, sex, race, religion, etc. It's a humanity problem, but it's also a universal problem.

It is honestly depressing being reminded that people who get hurt by name calling and demand justice over such a minor thing exist in this world...

"Oh no, a complete stranger that I will never meet just said he would fuck my mother!!!!!!1!, better call the cyberpolice!"

Maybe if you didn't do chicken camp every time you aced the enemy, you might not get called a shit%%%% so often.

Aeszarck2 votes

Your report is all that is needed and the enemy team's reports do not matter as long as you report. If your report is legitimate, the Honors for the player won't count. One's progress towards a ribbon is lost if the system recognizes reports against the player as legitimate.

Lock On2 votes

What up buddy V: League is far from the Worst community I've seen (ofc, all just my opinion) But maybe the punishment system should be much stricter. For example, receiving more than a few verifiable reports within a month or two instantly confers a temporary suspension. Multiple reports from both the enemy team and allies can result in immediate temporary suspension, resulting in an immediate lengthy ban if verified, considering the number of reports and the details (except in diamond+ where well-known players would likely be abused.) False reports should equate into punishment as well.

FourVsFive1 votes

Report system would be better if we could report while in game, when game is over people just esc the end match screen to start a new game they don't want to spend there time reporting or simply forget after a long game.

Troll Slaiyer1 votes

people will play how they want to. u cant control them. just cause they mess around in a video game... that does not make them human garbage. dont get so upset.

Yep, that's the only way to get honorable opponent nowadays. Why do you think I got a ton of them when I started playing but not anymore. Despite Riot's stance in removing "toxicity", I doubt there are any less toxic people then when the concept was first introduced.

YokoNomi1 votes

The most common reason an enemy team requests a report is when it's a verbal toxic player, rather than a visibly toxic player. People just as commonly demand a report for players for "toxic harassment", even if it isn't the case. The problem for me is that I can not see what the enemy team sees. Regardless if the player is truly toxic or not, I have no evidence on my part to encourage a report, unless they happen to bring it into all chat.

ya like its only ok if the troll is on the enemy team but if hes on their team then its omg yyyyy

enemies refused to report the troll but next game we somehow managed to que together and the troll was on their team and the person who said na why report was the one who was rageing about having us report him...I was playing karma that time and well ya karmas a bitch lol they got their medicine
