Zilean.

Lets face it, he is pretty shit right now.

A lot of this stems from his Q being unreliable, yet a cornerstone of his kit.

As of right now, he feels a lot like Nami, with his AOE stun.

Unlike Nami, however, he has to hit the bubble twice.

Proposed changes

Q: Stun procs on double bomb>> Stun procs on detonation. Individual enemy champions may not be stunned more than once every 6 seconds.

Bomb pickup radius: 100>>150

I'm sorry. Riots too busy making darius unbeatable again to focus on supports. unfortunately supports get the bad end of the stick when it comes to reworks, skins, and buffs.

The actual problem is his passive to be honest. Its just never noticable at any point in the game anymore.

"But muh level 2 power spike" you hit level 2 ONE MINION SOONER, such a difference. I'd be fine with some reliability work on his Q, but his passive currently needs to be completely reworked.

Repetiore did some talking on the boards about a new passive, so at least it is on the table.

  • the second bomb prioritizes the unit with the first bomb

  • bomb stick radius slightly increased

  • bomb throw speed increased

  • cooldown for basic spells reduced (allows for constant speed up, makes up for Zil not being able to fight when the bombs are on CD)

  • change passive, if Zilean stands still for 5 seconds, he leaves a Memory (a ghost of himself), he can have up to 1/2/3 Memories. Any allied champion can click a memory, this will teleport the ally to it (600 range), whenever any allied champion consumes a memory, this grants Zilean some experience (this makes up for the time/roaming required to place one). Memories have an aura that grant nearby allies 8% increased experience gain.

600 range is...really short. Caitlyn autoattacks further than that. Zilean is not going to be missing too much experience to place that memory, any more than he would if he was warding.

placing a memory would require previous planning and standing still for 5 seconds 600 is more than summoner 4

i also participated in that thread, i thought that option you posted was way to similar to Ekko's ult, so i gave another suggestion option to this one, it was a bit more complicated, but also interesting:

New Passive: Reminiscence

If Zilean stands still for 4 seconds he creates a Memory (a ghost of himself) (only 1 at the time, creating a new one eliminates others) Memories cannot be target. Pressing Alt-key allows to control the memory (the original zilean can still be moved and damaged, like when controlling other clones) this memory looks "ghostly" and distinguishable from the original. Memories don't grant vision and disappear after zilean dies.

Memories can't move but can cast spells with shared cooldown with the original. 4 seconds after of casting the first spell with a memory, the memory fades.

Now, memories could have 2 possible auras, either: 1- nearby allies get 8% extra XP. 2- when Zilean casts a spell, allied champions near the Memory get +5% cooldown reduction for X seconds and/or nerby enemies -5% cdr.

Where did you get this? Because a Rioter in another thread came up with

"Zilean being able to go to a place and mark it, then later return there by clicking on a thing there or by using his (targetable) recall on the spot. For example, one had it such that if Zilean stood still for a few moments, he'd leave behind a little ghost of himself he could click to warp back there."
