Lee Sin ~ Broken Monk

TL;DR at bottom

Flurry INNATE: After using an ability, Lee Sin's next 2 basic attacks within 3 seconds gain 40% attack speed, returning 20 energy on the first attack and 10 energy on the second.

Makes Lee Sin essentially resource-less. He refunds almost 80% of the cost on his fist cast on abilities and gains attack speed from it. Even if his attack is negated in someway, he still gets the energy back.

Sonic Wave RANGE: 1100 SPEED: 1750 COST: 50 ENERGY COOLDOWN: 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7

ACTIVE: Lee Sin fires a sonic blast in the target direction, dealing physical damage to the first enemy it hits and granting True Sight icon true sight of them for 3 seconds. If Sonic Wave hits, Lee Sin can cast Resonating within the next 3 seconds. PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+ 90% bonus AD)

Resonating Strike RANGE: 1300 COST: 30 ENERGY

ACTIVE: Lee Sin dashes to the enemy marked by Sonic Wave, dealing physical damage, capped against non-champions.

Granting a blind man TRUE SIGHT makes no sense but that's besides the point, the real thing here is the damage. To give you perspective on how much damage this ability deals simply by pressing the button twice here's some math.

Lee Sin's base damage is 61 without runes or masteries and items.

**50+54= 104 First cast damage ** Well double it and you get his Second cast damage. 208 damage plus 8% of an enemy's missing health. Toss his basic attack on it as a follow up to get 269 physical damage. That's almost half of Lee Sin's own health in damage. Although this is a skill-shot this fires FASTER than Caitlyn Piltover Peacemaker (Her Q)

A man can fire a Hadoken faster than a bullet...knife blade...thing

Safeguard RANGE: 700 COST: 50 ENERGY COOLDOWN: 14

ACTIVE: Lee Sin dashes to the target ally or friendly ward. If the ally is a champion, they and Lee Sin receive a shield that lasts 2 seconds and Safeguard's cooldown is halved. SHIELD: 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+ 80% AP) Lee Sin can self-cast Safeguard to shield himself. If Safeguard is used, Lee Sin can cast Iron Will within 3 seconds.

Iron Will COST: 30 ENERGY

ACTIVE: For 4 seconds, Lee Sin gains bonus life steal and spell vamp. BONUS SUSTAIN: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25%

**Although the shield isn't important to discuss, the fact he can dash to just about everything and anyone is just ludicrous. 40% Cooldown turns him into a blur as he dashes around the map. Riot just why? dash to enemies and dash to allies. He basically becomes impossible to hit. **

And another thing, he gain get up to a QUARTER of his own damage back in health? Life steal and spell vamp? A Q E Combo means 50% of that damage he just dealt is returned to him in health.

Tempest RANGE: 350 COST: 50 ENERGY COOLDOWN: 10

ACTIVE: Lee Sin smashes the ground, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and granting True Sight icon true sight of them for 4 seconds. If Tempest hits an enemy, Lee Sin can cast Cripple within the next 3 seconds. MAGIC DAMAGE: 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+ 100% bonus AD)

Cripple RANGE: 500 COST: 30 ENERGY

ACTIVE: Lee Sin Slow icon slows all enemies within range that are marked by Tempest for 4 seconds, decaying over the duration. SLOW: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60%

For some reason this attack deals magic damage. It scales off of AD but deals Magic damage. This means anyone not building MR against Lee Sin will still watch their health bar deplete at a rapid rate as he flies around the map with his Q and W. Oh and he can slow you making it harder to avoid his attacks.

Dragon's Rage RANGE: 375 / 1200 COOLDOWN: 90 / 75 / 60

ACTIVE: Lee Sin roundhouse kicks the target enemy champion, dealing physical damage and Airborne icon knocking them back over 1 second. Enemies hit by the projectile enemy receive bonus physical damage and are Airborne icon knocking up for 1 second. 「 PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 200 / 400 / 600 (+ 200% bonus AD) 」

**A Double damage ability with a VERY LOW Cooldown. 90 Seconds at level 1? With max CDR he's casting this every half a minute . At max rank he's casting it at every TWELVE SECONDS with max CDR. Oh and you get rooted for 1/4th of a second. ***

TL;DR **Severly ** overloaded kit with broken abilities that deal tons of damage and low cooldowns.

Level of balance: 1.5/5 (Unbalanced by a large amount)

Course of action: Increasing cooldown on his Ultimate, remove spell vamp, lower damage and their ratios, Only deal physical damage.

He doesn't need a nerf, he need a rework.

The problem with Lee Sin is that having multiple mobility/disengage abilities on a single kit is not healthy, and Lee has three. Mobility abilities work when they have an inherent risk in using them. Champions with a single mobility abilitiy, such as Katarina, Jax, Ezreal, etc., can use them to chase/initiate, but then they have no way to get back out because their mobility ability is on cooldown - the skill has inherent risk.

But Lee Sin can initiate with Q, then escape with W, and even if that doesn't work, he can hard-disengage (especially vs melée champions) with R.

Look at the other champions who have multiple mobility abilities, and tell me which ones are not hated or at least frequent subjects of complaint threads on these boards:

Multiple mobility abilities: Fizz Leblanc LeeSin Riven Zed Ahri Akali Single ability, but with almost no cooldown: Yasuo Kalista

(Less hated) Single ability with low cooldown: Vayne Kassadin

Single dash+Disengage isn't hated as much: Jayce Gragas

First, I play him, because I love his mobility (I don't like slow junglers)

But for me, only his ult is unbalanced. First, the CD : 90 / 75 / 60, he is very very low. Anyway, ok but :

He deal so much damages ( 200 / 400 / 600 (+ 200% bonus AD) ), and if you kick a tank in the ennemy team (realy not difficult in this full tank meta), all enemis take (+ 12 / 15 / 18% of kicked target's bonus health), and a tank have all time more than 3500 hp.

And bonus, you can disengage to easy with this, or doing some LCSBIGPLAYS.

It's too much. Consider Lee Sin build so many time item 1408 and some others CDR items (like item 3147 item 3065 item 3071 ) you got your ult all time, like the old CD ultimate Ezreal. You can cast it for nothing, without punishment.

Nerf the CD, like 110/100/90, i don't know, or lover theses damages, but don't let like this. Don't hate me plz

Lee Sin's base damage is 61 without runes or masteries and items.

50+54= 104 First cast damage Well double it and you get his Second cast damage. 208 damage plus 8% of an enemy's missing health. Toss his basic attack on it as a follow up to get 269 physical damage. That's almost half of Lee Sin's own health in damage.

No, the spell will do 50 damage per cast (plus the missing hp damage). You're doing math using his base AD, even though the spell is a bonus AD ratio.

It's 100 damage, not 208.

Although the shield isn't important to discuss, the fact he can dash to just about everything and anyone is just ludicrous. 40% Cooldown turns him into a blur as he dashes around the map. Riot just why? dash to enemies and dash to allies. He basically becomes impossible to hit.

And another thing, he gain get up to a QUARTER of his own damage back in health? Life steal and spell vamp? A Q E Combo means 50% of that damage he just dealt is returned to him in health.

He can't dash everywhere, he will run out of energy. If he doesn't get opportunities to AA, he runs out after one full rotation of spells (technically can't handle one full rotation, 210 energy, but will regen enough to do it).

Additionally, You say he gets 50% of the damage he dealt back. Spell vamp is 25%, 1/3 for AoE. So he'll get 25% of his damage from his Q back, and 8.333% back from his E.

Lastly, the "dashing everywhere" thing is overexaggerated. If he marks someone with his Q, you know exactly where he's dashing if he does follow up. And any decent player can hit someone who is locked into a predictable, linear path.

A Double damage ability with a VERY LOW Cooldown. 90 Seconds at level 1? With max CDR he's casting this every half a minute . At max rank he's casting it at every TWELVE SECONDS with max CDR. Oh and you get rooted for 1/4th of a second. *

You need to learn how to do math. If you take 60% of 60 seconds, you don't get 12 seconds, you get 36. I'm not arguing that isn't short, but his ult is everything he is late game. If lee sin builds AD in order to make his abilities to damage late game, he will be squishy. A full tank lee sin is not exactly the tankiest thing in the world, and a lee who builds a bunch of his AD to use his ratios EXPLODES in a teamfight upon getting CCed. Remember, all his Ratios are BONUS AD, not total, so if he builds no damage, he's just using his base values.

You're massively overblowing his power with flat out wrong assessments, calculations, and understanding. Just because you can type a long post, doesn't mean you did it right.

I'm going to get downvoted for this, because I think lee sin is balanced.

First of all, your CDR calculations on his ult are MASSIVELY WRONG.

Same with your W-2 calculations. Lifesteal doesn't apply to spells unless you have Death's Dance.

I agree with it all though, as someone who has Lee as his go-to jungler I'll say myself that he needs either massive nerfs or a rework.
