Swain Buff (Small but mighty)
Right now Swain is in a relatively weak position, not necessarily in terms of power, maybe a little bit with damage, but mainly its his laning. His sustain is fine, his safety is helped by his W and his AoE root (though small, can stop a gank if timed correctly), and he has okay poke. So what's the problem?
The problem is his ability to CS. Look at the best swains and you'll see, not surprisingly, an average CS per minute of 5-6, depending on elo. My fix? A humble 5 damage to his Q.
I bet you're thinking, "Are you serious? 5 damage?"
But don't underestimate the weakness of his Q early on. Because you often don't rush an AP item (except
or you start
) and go for catalyst, your Q just doesn't do much against minions even with
or
. You'll eventually back for a catalyst and you'll have a few points in Q so then it's fine, but for the first few levels it's miserable to even pick up casters with a single Q.
More of a QoL than anything, but giving a slight ratio increase wouldn't be bad either (40>>45%) to make him scale a bit better, since his ult got gutted. If there won't be an extremely powerful Ult, then having better DPS would offset his nerfs and he hasn't been touched in a long time.
